Of six new screens pumped out by DC Universe Online, not much suprise that four involve Batman or characters from his continuity. That's because preordering the MMO lets you play as the Caped Crusader in a 2-on-2 arena battle. More »
A portion of a Nintendo Life review…
If you’re looking for a game with a lot of content and an engaging story, then you might want to look elsewhere. Fans of old arcade-style games who obsess about getting high scores, however, might find a lot of enjoyment and replayability here. Ninja Karakuri Den’s adventure may seem [...]

This past week, Gizmodo found a research project that seeks to equip infants, who otherwise can't crawl, with a motorized baby-booster controlled by a Wii Fit Balance Board. Now there's video of this contraption in action. More »

Last week, Oakland white elephant wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was revealed to have missed at least four straight practices because of "fatigue." His Madden NFL 11 rating has suffered accordingly - an 11 point stamina drop in the latest update. More »
We saw a handful of neat non-gaming applications for the PlayStation Move when the peripheral was first announced during E3 2009. Yesterday, Sony released a video showing even more of the Move's capabilities, such as 3D sculpting, branch climbing and ... um, face stretching? Yes, it stretches faces.

To read the common rhetoric, it's hard to escape a feeling that annualized sports games represent some kind of zero-sum relationship, with either the publisher or the consumer screwing the other side out of something it righteously deserves each year. More »
In the market for a fancy new Xbox 360, Wii, or ... um, a new Band Hero bundle? All three have received discounts as part of Dell's Weekend Deals, which also cover a few TVs, cameras and a Blu-ray player. It sounds perfect for folks who are just getting into this whole "electronics" thing.
.html Earlier this week, Stephen Totilo spent a day with Halo: Reach's singleplayer and brought back loads of impressions and details. But no video. That was for Gametrailers, which made the game's campaign the centerpiece of its latest episode. More »
Put your thinking caps on, friends -- it's time to get to work on dissecting the image seen above. The photo in question was recently emailed to fans of indie dev Gaijin Games as a teaser for the next entry in its musically-inclined series, Bit.Trip Fate. The email accompanying the image included a challenge from Gaijin, who stated "the discerning BIT.TRIPPER will be able to figure it all out." We consider ourselves pretty hardcore fans of the franchise, and, wow, we have absolutely no idea what's going on up there.
The game's official site mentions the title will receive a WiiWare release sometime this fall, so less cryptic information on Fate should surface soon. In the mean time, we're just going to assume it's a game about a snake made of light which likes to eat lava.

Denmark bans the advertisement of energy drinks, I guess because they provide gratuitous amounts of energy or something. What's that got to do with video games? Well, EA Sports MMA is shot through with energy drink ads. More »
Kevin Butler and Subway aren't the only ones excited for the PlayStation Move. Peripheral companies, like Hyperkin, are getting ready to unleash a salvo of plastic accessories that "enhance" the motion gaming experience on PS3. Like the Wii, Move will be home to a number of absurd attachables, like the ones featured in the "Sports Victory Set" (pictured above). For $30, you'll be able to get a dagger, shield, bow and table tennis paddle, designed with Sports Champions in mind.
For $25, you'll be able to invest in Hyperkin's "Special Ops Shooter," which transforms your Move controller into (you guessed it!) a gun. Hopefully, it won't be long until companies like CTA Digital make some PS3-compatible inflatable karts.
The problem with Pokemon is that it's pretty embarrassing to tell people you play it, especially if you're over the age of 13 -- just ask Griffin. They're great games, don't get us wrong. It's just that we're adults, with actual utility bills and Netflix memberships, and alive and breathing significant others. We can't risk losing all of that.
That's why we want to draw your attention to this Call of Duty and Pokemon mash-up clip, available just past the break. By incorporating the two, we can maintain our adult facade, while enjoying the deep and robust RPG experience Nintendo's line of games offers without all the kiddie stuff. It's the best of both worlds!
Ladies and gentlemen, do you believe in second chances? Amazon's offering those who missed out on the recent Toys R' Us markdown a chance to pick up DJ Hero for the discounted price of $40 for the current Deal of the Day promotion. Not quite as hot as a $20 price tag, but a sweet deal nonetheless.

Late last year, we heard a pretty troubling rumor about Square Enix's first keybladed outing on the PSP, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep -- that the game wouldn't get a downloadable version on the PSN, thereby preventing any PSP Go owners from getting their hands on it. It's almost nine months later, and Square has finally commented on the rumor, confirming to IGN that "Square Enix, Inc. currently has no plans to release Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep through the PlayStation Store."
Considering Birth By Sleep is one of the highest-profile releases on the platform in some time, this is an awfully disheartening turn of events for owners of the download-only handheld. We've contacted Sony and Square Enix to find out the reason behind the title's absence from the PSN.

Well, this is certainly ... unexpected. Telltale Games recently uploaded a brief teaser trailer (posted below) for an unannounced title featuring a few cryptic messages, as well as the line-up seen above. Fans of adventure games (and, uh, team-based shooters) will recognize the silhouettes pictured therein as Tycho from Penny Arcade Adventures, Max from Sam and Max, the Heavy from Team Fortress 2 and Strong Bad from Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. That's in order from left to right, in case you're really unfamiliar with the aforementioned games.
We could spend the rest of the fantasizing about the manner in which these four properties could be blended, but we won't have to wait long for the actual explanation -- the trailer promises more info on the untitled project will be released next Thursday, September 2.
