Noir, Amazing and 2099 get into the spotlight.

4Gamer has posted a downloadable demo for the PSP's Black Panther: New Yakuza Chapter, allowing those interested in the dramatic tale of one teenager beating up a bunch of dudes to check out the game with ease. You won't need to load up the Japanese PlayStation Store or anything fancy like that -- just go to this site and click the pink box in the middle of the page.

Andriasang reports that you'll receive a password following the completion of the demo, which will unlock unspecified content in the full game. This game features customizable multiplayer (and hostess) avatars, so we're guessing you'll get some kind of exclusive clothing item.

Famitsu recently uploaded a whole gang of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded screens showing off a few departures from the action-RPG roots of the franchise. Pictured here are the turn-based battle mode, which appears to only become available in the returning Olympus Coliseum world, and some sort of board game that seems to be the player's main method for improving attributes and learning new abilities.

You can check out all the screens over on Famitsu while we have nightmare flashbacks to the Sphere Grid from Final Fantasy X.

Mad Dog McCree…definitely a Western-themed game. Is it a good game? Well, it depends on what you think of on-rails shooters that are nothing but FMV sequences. I’m thinking that the game is best remembered for it’s campy nature rather than good gameplay.

The Square Enix Downloadable Games Twitter account has brought excellent news to those of us who despise UFOs and want to see them destroyed in an ever-increasing variety of ways: The company tweeted that the PSN and XBLA versions of Space Invaders Infinity Gene will arrive in September.

The game's official site also features that date, both on the page itself and at the end of a brief new trailer (accessed by clicking the box labeled "The Beginning"). We can expect this date to evolve into a more specific date soon, and then an actual playable game after that.

According to Michael Pachter, Mafia 2 sales appear unlikely to recoup the cost of the game's six-year development period. The Wedbush analyst told Gamasutra that "consumer interest appears to be waning" for 2K Games' crime drama.

Mafia 2 currently holds the #43 position on Amazon's Video Game Bestsellers list, one week after release. In comparison, Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption faced regular shortages when it was first released and sold five million units in just three weeks' time.

Take-Two will update its investors with the company's latest financial results later this week. In addition to confirming sales figures, Pachter expects "the company to announce a shift in release dates for LA Noire out of 2010 and into 2011." Now ... wouldn't that be surprising?
