Back in August, our sister site Engadget reported on a forthcoming Sony Ericsson phone with PlayStation branding -- a phone that would employ Android OS 3.0. Sony still hasn't made a peep officially but has, in the meantime, posted a job listing for a senior server engineer in London with "experience in mobile development." The company noted, "specifically Android is a plus."

Since Engadget first pointed out the job listing, the "specifically Android is a plus" part has been removed (the unaltered image can be seen above). Whether that makes the long-rumored Ericsson / PlayStation partnership any more realistic is hard to say. We'll believe it when we see it.

When devoted fans of a video game franchise have a story to tell within the confines of the franchise's universe, they usually turn to written fanfic. The team at CNCLabs had a different idea: Why not turn their story, inspired by a group of soldiers encountered in Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm -- then never heard from again -- into a fully realized video game? After three years in development, their lofty goal was met, resulting in the release of Command and Conquer 3: The Forgotten.

Our personal favorite aspect of the fan-made expansion? True to the series, it's got live-action cutscenes. Sure, they might lack appearances by old, old, old wrestlers, but we'll be damned if they don't have heart. You can check out a trailer for the fan game after the jump, or download it on The Forgotten's official site.

daaa57150 says “In an alternate future, humans started colonizing other planets and built a space base. Hearing about this, the ModNation officials decided to organize a championship. atheistsw says “The ModNation comes to the picturesque European town of Zetterberg, home of one of the region’s leading universities. The university, to celebrate its 250th anniversary, graciously allowed a race through the grounds of the historic site. The race organizers extended the route along the lakeside and through the neighboring village. Just for kicks, they opted to race along the old rooftops as well!”

The wristband pictured above isn't just a charming, retro-stylized fashion accessory -- it was our ticket into one of the most exclusive events held in Chicago last evening: The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Fight Club. We didn't see a lot of you guys there (tsk, tsk), so we've gathered up our favorite photos taken during the proceedings and placed them in the gallery below. Basically, we'd like to be your wristband into the event. And, since it took place last night, we guess we'd like to be your time machine, too.

We tried as best we could to capture the feel of the event in photos -- like the excitement of the frequent, close matches where fortunes were reversed in the final seconds of a bout; or the surreality of seeing people cover themselves in fake shiners and busted lips. There was also general confusion around a decapitated Servbot head, which, we're almost certain, we never saw anybody wear during the evening. Was it some kind of warning? We may never know.

Fans eager for a new Kingdom Hearts console game will have to wait even longer, it seems. In an interview with Famitsu, designer Tetsuya Nomura revealed that the next game in the franchise will be the 3DS game, first unveiled at E3 earlier this year. "Next is Kingdom Hearts 3D," he told the magazine. "The time frame for 3D is after Re:Coded."

According to Nomura, development is already underway on the project and will only accelerate once the Final Mix team is done working on that Japan-only PSP release. "We'd like to announce it as soon as possible," Nomura said of the 3DS game, seemingly ignoring the fact that he was technically announcing the game as he spoke.
