For the past week, we've been storing up our deepest reserves of gaming energy in preparation for the onslaught of titles due out over the next 60 days. It's a pretty rigorous process -- one which forces us to save our precious endurance, preventing us from performing simple tasks like showering, cleaning or generally moving out of one spot. Thank goodness we work from home, right?

Fortunately, it doesn't take too much physical exertion to compile our seven favorite gaming webcomics of this past week, listed below. Check them out, and vote for your favorite in the poll after the jump!

Welcome to the Party, Pal (No Cash Value)
The Fashion Imperative (Penny Arcade)
Untitled (Another Videogame Webcomic)
Janitor of the Mushroom Kingdom Part 3 (Brawl in the Family)
Remember Reach (Virtual Shackles)
Fethers (Awkward Zombie)
Scouting (Nerf Now)

It's not amusing to me. I used to be a large Sonic fan, and used to buy every single platformer for the consoles since Sonic Adventure. I am probably one of the very few people who actually liked all of them since then. However, Sonic Unleashed led me to the point where I became pissed at loading times and it felt like the loading was more than the actual game. I never played Unleashed again since that day. The concept of colors doesn't really seem amsuing and I would have rather seen a different concept for the game.

Haven't picked up a copy of PS3's massively multiplayer first person shooter, MAG? If you wait just a few more days, you'll be able to get the Greatest Hits version for only $29.99. Available on September 28th, the budget re-release comes just in time for the big 2.0 patch, which adds support for PlayStation Move motion controls and a whole slew of online fixes and tweaks. Considering Zipper's upcoming game, SOCOM 4, won't be available until 2011, this may be a good way of satiating your tactical shooting urges.

[Thanks, frank!]

This week's Bungie.net news update brought with it more than just info about Halo: Reach's Xbox Live stats -- it also featured a couple of screens showing an extra 10 Achievements and 250 Gamerscore for the just released title. In a segment explaining how to install the game to the 360's hard drive, two screens can be clearly seen with the adjusted Gamerscore and 'Cheevo count (1250 up from 1000 Gamerscore and 59 up from 49 Achievements).

Bungie doesn't directly address the changes in its update, instead hinting at "some new stuff" being added in a "potential second October update." Unfortunately, this hint is dropped right after talk of the regular housekeeping performed on Halo multiplayer, so it's unclear what's being hinted at directly. Halo 3 was eventually lavished with an astonishing 1750 Gamerscore when all was said and done, so the idea of an extra 250 doesn't seem like much of a reach if you ask us.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

For iPhone and iPad owners who are also old, Capcom has released a new game starring the 1970s Saturday Night Live character Mr. Bill. In Mr. Bill, players guide the unlucky clay character through a series of jobs given to him by the Sluggo Employment Agency.

Two jobs are available in the initial game: human cannonball and farm hand. Capcom plans to release more levels and jobs in the future -- for free. The first update will be a zombie-themed level due on Halloween. Do zombies eat clay?

If you're at all curious about this vintage character's new adventure, Capcom has temporarily priced the game at 99 cents for the launch. The publisher didn't mention the regular price, but it's, you know, more.

The versatile Garry's Mod is available now for Mac. To celebrate, the app will be $5 for the next week -- that's 50 percent off the regular price. Though, remember, if you own the PC version, you automagically own the Mac port. The one caveat with Garry's Mod is that you need to own another Source Engine game before use.

In the right hands, the mod can be used to make engaging Machinima like "The Jacknife Chronicles." In our hands, it would be used to make the umpteenth version of Gman doing "Banana Phone."
