It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a whole year since UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves was released! Since then we’ve sold over 3.8 million copies worldwide of UNCHARTED 2, hosted more than 125 million online multiplayer matches and won more Game of the Year Awards than we know what do with.

Not exactly a bad problem to have.

To commemorate UNCHARTED 2 as the definitive Game of the Year in 2009, we’re proud to reveal the UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition!

5030176659_6d3334c2a2.jpg

On October 12, 2010, copies of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition will start hitting retailers all over North America. For just $49.99, you’ll get the regular retail Blu-ray of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves along with a “super voucher” for the PlayStation Network Store that lets you download ALL of the following DLC content:

  • PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack
  • UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune Multiplayer Pack
  • UNCHARTED 2 Siege Expansion Pack
  • Currency Multiplier which grants Double XP up to level 10 in Multiplayer
  • Golden Guns option for the AK-47 and the 92FS 9mm pistol for use in Multiplayer
  • Early access to “Revenge” Booster – you still have to purchase it with in-game cash!
  • UNCHARTED: Eye of Indra – Motion Comic Bundle (which includes Episodes 1-4)
  • UNCHARTED: Eye of Indra – Rika Raja and Daniel Pinkerton Character Skins
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves – Avatar Pack 1
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves – Avatar Pack 2
  • UNCHARTED Avatar Pack 3
  • UNCHARTED Avatar Pack 4
  • Pinball Heroes – UNCHARTED for the PSP

Sparing me the need to bust out a calculator, I’m told the total value of all the content we’re including in our Game of the Year Edition comes in at more than $35.00 if you purchased it all separately — and some of the content isn’t even available for purchase separately, so the bonus just got even better.

Releasing our Game of the Year Edition in the same week as our one-year anniversary of release is not without benefits – we have set aside Saturday, October 16, 2010, as the date to join us online for some awesome anniversary festivities!

We’ll be running a special one-day only playlist which compiles a “Best of…” selection of gametypes we’ve chosen from previous episodes of “The Lab.” We’ll also have plenty of Dogs online nearly all day in that playlist to play against. But that’s not all – we’re not ready to reveal everything yet, so please check back on NaughtyDog.com in the next few weeks. We’ll be posting more details on all the awesomeness we have in store for our fans!

And last but not least, head on over here to check out the IGN exclusive interview with our very own Evan Wells and Justin Richmond for an inside look at how they are feeling a year since launch, multiplayer stats, accolades, and more!

Sifting through my inventory, I scroll past flaming boxing gloves, a sledgehammer duct-taped to a pair of fire axes, a makeshift lightsaber (two of those, actually) and a box of french fries. Four survivors -- two of whom I've armed with assault rifles -- are trailing behind me, weaving through the zombie-free path I've literally carved for them. Soon I bring them all back to safety, netting me a cool 168,000 Prestige Points. I level up. Twice. I barely notice, since I can't stop wondering how to combine this wheelchair with the lawn mower I found in hardware.

Descending from the rafters and morphing from a bat into an exciting reveal trailer, CCP Games unveiled forthcoming Vampire: The Masquerade-based MMO World of Darkness this past week at the Grand Masquerade convention in New Orleans. Ardwulf's Lair reports that the game will "focus on player politics and social interaction," but we won't see that in action until the game launches at some point in 2012.

A shaky-cam video of the teaser trailer reveals a modern-day setting for the game. Interestingly, CCP Games' White Wolf studio in Atlanta, Georgia is handling development (and consequently hiring) rather than the company's Iceland studios.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops teaser site gknova6.com, which previously put us through a lot of puzzling for no real payoff, is much less cryptic these days. Where there used to be a tiny television set playing coded audio messages, there now are eight big screens displaying footage of zombies in military uniforms, on repeat.

Even if the Nazi Zombies content in Black Ops hadn't been revealed yesterday, we don't think we would have had much trouble figuring this one out. Unless ... the number and position of the zombies in the footage is itself some kind of code.

Actually, we don't even want to joke about that. There are Nazi zombies in Black Ops -- the end.

[Thanks, Josh]

Hi everyone! We have some exciting news for those of you looking to expand your PS3 game library. Back in April we announced new PS3 Greatest Hits titles, and today we are adding seven more PS3 titles to the ever-growing “Greatest Hits” library. These latest titles will be available at retailers in U.S. and Canada for only $29.99 (MSRP). With our ongoing expansion of the “Greatest Hits” library, now including more than 40 titles, we’re continuing to give PS3 owners more to enjoy while spending less.

The newest additions to the “Greatest Hits” library include:

  • MAG (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • MotorStorm: Pacific Rift (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • Demon’s Souls (Atlus)
  • Call of Duty: World at War (Activision)
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision)
  • TEKKEN 6 (NAMCO BANDAI Games)

With this month’s launch of PlayStation Move and the recent addition of 3D Blu-ray movie support, the PS3 is the only system continues to do everything – and with more and more titles available at the low “Greatest Hits” price, there’s something for everyone looking to expand their PS3 library. In fact, the MAG PlayStation Move software update, which enables PlayStation Move compatibility, is coming soon. Enjoy!
