If listings on Amazon.de and EB Games Australia are to be believed, both Europe and the Land Down Under will be receiving a limited edition of Sonic Colors. The limited edition comes in both Wii and DS flavors and includes a (kind of awkward looking) Sonic figure and three wisp figurines. Each version comes with different wisps, so you'll have to snag both the DS and Wii editions if you just have to have them all.

We've contacted Sega to find out if the limited edition will see a release in North America as well.

#oddworld The decision to bring Xbox classic Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath to the PS3 and not the Xbox 360 seemed a strange one, what with the game making its name on the Xbox. Turns out there's a very good reason for this. More »

Who came up with the idea for these print ads? Having the Rabbids time-travel back to old Rayman print ads is such a fantastic idea. I need to find out who made these within Ubisoft, and then see to it that they get promoted!

This image comes from the latest Nintendo Power… Certainly seems like a card scanner to me. I could see how that would make a lot of sense for a Yu-Gi-Oh! game. I just don’t get why the device is sold separately. Doesn’t Konami want to make a game bundle for this?

Japan is getting a blue PS3 with Gran Turismo 5 bundle and it turns out a similar bundle is headed to Europe on November 5 -- sans all of that flare. Amazon UK outed the 320 GB black PS3 bundle, which comes with the Collector's Edition of Gran Turismo 5 for a hefty £284.99 ($450). It may seem a bit too pricey, but the bundle is actually a £44.99 savings on what it would cost to purchase the console and game separately, if that's any consolation to your bank account.

It looks like there may be a bit of misinformation coming out of the Nintendo press conference. One Japanese blog reported that the 3DS was going to have a VC service that provided GB, GBC and GBA games. Yet, if you look at the official page for this info… There’s no mention of the [...]

We're slightly confused by the pitch for Logitech's Wireless Headset F540 designed for Xbox 360 and PS3. "Don't wake the house," the website says, touting the headset's ability to deliver game audio and voice chat through the headphones simultaneously. But you still have to talk for voice chat to work, and, barring some absurd Cone of Silence contraption, that's still going to make noise.

Regardless of the marketing angle, the headset itself looks pretty nice. It works with both the Xbox 360 and PS3 wirelessly, includes three inputs, and has a noise-canceling mic. All those features come at a price, however. If you want to whisper to your in-game pals while wearing one of these, it's going to run you $150.

Nintendo produced a few slick videos of its various console lineups for its conference. You'll have to click over to the 3DS, Wii and DS pages of Nintendo's conference site to see them, but it's worth the extremely small effort.

In addition to footage of known 3DS games, including Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, the 3DS video reveals a second Resident Evil game, Biohazard: The Mercenaries 3D. The Wii video offers the first look at the new Fatal Frame and Rhythm Heaven games, among many other first- and third-party titles. And though you have to wait until the end, you will see clips of the new Kirby game and Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing DS in the DS video.

At it's press conference in Japan this afternoon (well, in Japan it's the afternoon), Nintendo announced plans to release a Super Mario 25th Anniversary Edition DSi LL (DSi XL, as it's known in the West) to the Japanese public on October 28. Andriasang's liveblog of the goings-on also give it an ¥18000 ($215) price point. Unfortunately, like all other things regarding Super Mario's big two five, this is likely to stay grounded in Japan.

Despite the 3DS making its big appearance at Nintendo's conference and dominating the news, that system doesn't get to claim the weirdest story of the night. The humble DS gets that honor, thanks to "Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing DS," which is exactly what it sounds like. Judging by the screenshots (available here), you type Pokemon and attack names when prompted, using a virtual keyboard. Wacky!

Also wacky: Kirby (tentative title), a new DS game which appears to have the player managing a team of up to 10 Kirbies at a time. We sincerely hope there are no restaurants in the game. Both games will be released in 2011.

There's also a training game about dogs who know English, but considering America's widespread knowledge of English -- and the partnership with the Japanese NHK television network -- it's safe to say that one is Japan-only.

Nintendo's conference today wasn't all about the 3DS. The publisher has also announced new DS and Wii titles. Mistwalker's The Last Story was given a January 27 release date, but more excitingly, two new Wii sequels were announced -- one for the GBA/DS Rhythm Heaven series, and one for Zero, known here as Fatal Frame.

Both games are scheduled for 2011 releases, and screens of both are available in our galleries.
