As evidenced by their music videos, OK Go's one of the more creative bands out there -- that's why we weren't surprised to hear about a competition the quartet is holding in conjunction with Rock Band 3. The rules of the contest are simple: Remix OK Go's newest single "White Knuckles" using all of your musical prowess. Dave Fridmann, the band's producer, will highlight his favorite remixes every week on OK Go's website, until the contest's winner is decided Oct. 29 -- at which point it will be transformed into a Rock Band Network track. Like magic!

The creator of the winning track will also receive a 360, a Rock Band 3 full band bundle and a signed copy of OK Go's upcoming album, "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky." Would it be too much to ask that they sign the 360 and all the instruments, too? We mean, we know creating intricate internet music videos probably keeps them busy, but remixing a song for use in a video game's gotta be hard work, too.

Ubisoft's future in Brazil is unclear. Following a report by Canal dos Games that the publisher was shutting down all operations in the country, Ubisoft was forced to comment, telling UOL Jogos it was reviewing its plans for the region.
Ubisoft opened up its first studio in Brazil back in 2008. The company followed that up by acquiring Southlogic Studios, which has diligently worked on the Imagine series for the past couple years. We've contacted Ubisoft to find out if its casual-focused developers in the region will have to Imagine unemployment.

While it may have missed its planned "early 2010" release, indie game Auditorium is finally coming to consoles in early November. Publisher Zoo Entertainment has dated the game for a November 2 release on PSN and Xbox Live Arcade (though our money's on Wednesday, November 3, for the real XBLA date).

Dungeon Defenders originally began as "Dungeon Defense," an indie game created with Epic's Unreal Dev Kit that mashed up the tower defense and action-RPG genres. Developers Trendy Entertainment then decided to revamp the game, which became Dungeon Defenders, and it's now being readied for release on XBLA, PC and PSN (with support for Move and stereoscopic 3D) later this year.

After a recent preview session with the game, I'll say this: It's complicated. Dungeon Defenders doesn't just mix pieces of a few genres, it totally combines them. There is a full tower defense game here, and a full action-RPG game, and even a little bit of real-time strategy resource management. There's a lot going on, but just like recent genre-mixer Monday Night Combat, players who can juggle a few genres at a time will find a lot to like.

In the latest issue of the UK's PSM3 magazine, Batman: Arkham City director Sefton Hill outlined an upgrade to Batman's "Detective Mode" designed to help him extract information. Batman will now be able to scan a criminal database to find likely informants among henchmen, and then interrogate them to get what he needs -- like extra Riddler clues.

"The Riddler continues to taunt the Dark Knight with mind-bending puzzles and exploration challenges," Hill said, "but the location of his biggest secrets are known only to him and people he's told. Rather than unlocking their locations using maps, Batman will be able to scan a gang of thugs to find a potential informant."

We're excited about the new gameplay mechanic -- as well as the challenge, described by Hill, of making sure not to knock out the one guy in a crowd you need to talk to. But mostly we're happy for the Riddler. He's well on his way to figuring out the secret to successful crime: not immediately giving the world's greatest detective any clues about how to find your stash.
