Capcom continues to support the Virtual Console long after most companies have abandoned the service, announcing three upcoming Virtual Console Arcade releases for Japan.

Black Tiger (an early candidate for Final Fight: Double Impact inclusion), Ghosts 'n Goblins (which is already available on Virtual Console in its NES form) and 1942 will be released in Japan in the near future. Though no announcements have been made about these titles' releases outside of Japan, recent Australian ratings show that Capcom is likely planning to launch some of its other Virtual Console Arcade games in additional territories.

You know, if the Empire would just allocate a little more of its budget to fixing the Accelerated Cloning Process, it would probably find that its "defense" spending would drop dramatically. Replacing all the 'Troopers, mechs and TIE Fighters destroyed by rogue clones sure ain't cheap.

Remember three years ago, when IPTV for Xbox 360 was first announced? According to leaked memos obtained by Engadget, Americans with AT&T U-verse service will soon be able to enjoy it: The memo reveals that the wait for the Mediaroom service will finally, finally be over on November 7.

That's when, the documents say, an Xbox 360 Dashboard app will become available to allow the console to be used as a U-verse set-top box (provided you already have another AT&T-leased receiver or DVR-equipped box in the house). In addition, Engadget received slides like the one pictured above, specifying that only consoles with hard drives will work for the service.Report: AT&T streaming TV finally comes to Xbox in November

In the meantime, just in time for the New York Comic Con, here’s a new sizzle trailer for DC Universe Online! This one’s got it all: Heroes, Villains, Icons, combat, the whole shebang!

Also, the official DC Universe Online Facebook page will be showcasing a live stream of the DCUO panel discussion at 6:30 pm Eastern Time featuring legendary artist Jim Lee, DC Universe Online Game Director Chris Cao and DCUO Art Director Mark Anderson. Don’t miss it!

Blizzard's Battle.net project director, Greg Canessa, was quoted at GDC Online suggesting an early 2012 release window for sequel-spansion StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. GameSpot caught the quote during a panel, in which Canessa responded to future Battle.net upgrades by saying they are "a main area of focus we're going to be seeing on the Starcraft side over the next 18 months between now and Heart of the Swarm." However, a Blizzard representative told Joystiq "We have not announced a release date or window for Heart of the Swarm."

Blizzard's next release will be for the World of Warcraft (population 12 million) expansion Cataclysm on December 7. With that bit of news out there, hopefully BlizzCon's big reveal will end the hellish wait for a Diablo 3 release date.
