Konami's classic, six-player X-Men arcade beat-em-up will make its way to the XBLA and PSN platforms, as revealed during Marvel's New York Comic Con 2010 presentation. Marvel Games' T.Q. Jefferson revealed that the title will be ported by its original developer to the two platforms "soon," and will retain it's six-player cap, achieveable through an online co-op mode.

Jefferson didn't reveal a price for the title -- we'll try and ascertain more information while on the floor at NYCC. Also, we call Dazzler. Don't even try to get in here and play as Dazzler. We called her.

I'd like to point out that this is the iPhone version because I'm too goddamned impatient to wait for any better release. Besides, I'm not focusing too much on the controls anyway.

First of all, let's start with Sonic 4's wonderful innovations.

It's *crag*ing Casino Night Zone

This is Casino Street Zone. Obviously the most unique level in the game. Not modeled after any other level, no siree this is 100% original bullshit we have here.

The music is nothing short of amazing. Listen to this shit:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo_ENChT5FI

Golden. Greatest ingame music to ever exist.

Design? Only the best to ever exist. Sure you hold right alot and the game pretty much directs your movement at all times leaving you hardly any freewill but it looks so damn cool while it does it. It's like "Shit we know you're bored but look at all this shiny shit isn't this game awesome" and obviously it is if you haven't caught on by now.

Buy this shit because even though it's ugly and a ripoff of Sonic 2 and the music sucks and the design is practically nonexistant it's Sonic 4 *crag*ers therefore it's worth it.

During the still-in-progress Marvel Games panel at New York Comic Con 2010, Beenox creative director Thomas Wilson revealed how we'll be able to access some of the Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions costumes revealed shortly before the game was released. Specifically, the "Cosmic" costumes, which gives each of the game's four Spideys a galactic sheen.

Though the outfits were once planned to be pre-order bonuses at GameStop, Wilson revealed that the costume bundle will be available as DLC sometime before the end of the month. He didn't make any announcements regarding price, but we can't imagine it costing too many Spider-Cents.

Despite what you may think, it turns out that remastering a five-year-old game up to today's graphical standards is actually very complicated. Just Add Water has posted a new developer diary for the upcoming remake of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, this time discussing the work that has gone into creating the new character models. Some models, like the Stranger, can be based on the models used in the pre-rendered cinematics from the original title. Others, which have no CG version, must be remade from scratch, such as the Fuzzle seen above.

Check out the diary, which is full of fancy terms like "NURBS" and "Ambient Occlusion," for a closer look at the Stranger's journey into modernity.

We're ... we're just so proud of all the would-be e-readers. Following known non-book Scrabble's ascent to the top of the Kindle sales charts, we learn from Ars Technica that a handful of gaming entrepreneurs have brought Zork I, II, III and Mini-Zork to the Kindle and other e-readers.

While an e-reader's typically nubby keyboard might not be the best form of input for an interactive novel like this, we're strong supporters of any innovation that allows us to use our books to play video games. One hang-up, though -- can't we get a game on the Kindle that doesn't require so much reading?> Text adventures come to Kindle, other e-readers

The XBLA version of Derek Yu's subterranean, sidescrolling roguelike Spelunky is looking pretty nice in these new screenshots. Not only is the resolution (and thus, the detail) higher than the PC original, but there are new lighting effects, explosions, and adorable red noses to look at. "I really want Spelunky to be as fun to look at as it it to play," Yu said, "and to that end, we've added lots of little details to the backgrounds to try and make each part of the game feel even more distinct.

Spelunky was originally announced with a 2010 release date. "The game is coming along splendidly," Yu told Joystiq when we checked in, "but it's possible we may slip into 2011. We really want to make sure the game is awesome."

Balance is an important issue in any RTS, and it appears that Blizzard has been paying attention to online game stats for StarCraft 2. Overall, the Protoss faction seems to have an unusually high win percentage against Terrans in certain leagues of play. Furthermore, while Zerg statistics don't indicate any huge disadvantages, Blizzard notes in the Battle.Net blog that "the feedback from the community as well as our own play experience tells us that improvements are necessary to make Zerg matchups feel and play better."

The studio states that it is currently "working on solutions" for the Protoss vs. Terran issues. In the meantime, the next patch will make adjustments that should benefit Zerg players. See the planned changes after the break.
