A portion of a 1up review…
Even with the deviations from what you might expect from the plucky pink puff, Epic Yarn most assuredly feels like a Kirby game; you have solid platforming, off-the-charts cuteness, and even throwbacks to familiar Dream Land characters and settings. And with the collectibles, minigames, and medals, what would otherwise be [...]
We hope you didn't have an urgent need for a Waluigi doll. The Nintendo World Store in New York City closed its doors last night for remodeling. It'll open again at 9AM on November 1, with new DSi and DSi XL stations, and twice the space devoted to displaying rare and vintage Nintendo items in the Nintendo Showcase.
Then, on November 7, Nintendo will hold a "grand re-opening" event that will run throughout the day. There's no information yet about what exactly will occur at the event, but you can probably expect to meet some kind of industry personality and pick up some kind of free item. And wait in line.
A Disney Interactive representative has confirmed to Joystiq that Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned has been sunk down to Davy Jones' locker and will not come to port in 2011 ... or ever. The confirmation comes following rumors reported by Kotaku that the game had been canceled and layoffs had occurred at developer Propaganda Games.
In a statement (in full after the break), Disney Interactive explains that a "restructuring" has occurred at Propaganda Games, "affecting one of the studio's two development teams." Propaganda is still working on this December's Tron: Evolution and its post-release DLC.

The developers at High Voltage Software were apparently taking notes while fans played the game at PAX last month and will incorporate public feedback as they complete the game (which was recently pushed back to 2011). "Because of this," Sega says, "the game is extending its development a few more months in order to bring players the most complete shooter on Wii."
If you were worried about not getting enough use out of PDP's Headbanger Headset, you'll be pleased to learn that Conduit 2 will support it for online multiplayer. And while you're playing, be sure to tell your friends to "pipe up." How they'll laugh and laugh and laugh ...
The Monkey Island games are usually discounted on International Talk Like a Pirate Day, but that was last month. The Tales of Monkey Island series is currently on sale on Steam for a mere $5, leading us to wonder what buccaneer-themed holiday we're missing out on. Scurvy Awareness Day, perhaps?
