Cut the Rope, the addictive puzzler for iPhone and iPad, has sold a million copies in ten days. According to publisher Chillingo, that makes the game the "fastest selling title on the App Store to date." Chillingo is currently working with developer ZeptoLab to create updates, which will be revealed "soon."

The game is $1 on iPhone and $2 on iPad, there's also a lite version to get a taste of what makes the game and its star, Om Nom, so compelling. Also, if similarly named titles confuse you, Cut the Rope has nothing to do with all those "cut the cheese" programs on the App Store.

Anxious to try your hands feet at Robomodo's next game? Activision has announced a mall tour for Tony Hawk Shred, where it'll bring the upcoming game to 10 of the biggest malls in the country, starting this weekend on through the end of the year. Sure, you could sit on your couch and just wait until the game launches on October 26, go to a store and buy it, but where's the fun in that? Oh, right, it's a video game. Those are pretty fun, we hear.

Lapses in logic aside, if you like your video game-based entertainment to be more on the free and supervised side, head past the break for the list of participating malls. Happy shredding!

SouthPeak Games CEO Melanie Mroz told investors this week that the ongoing legal argument between her company and distributor CDV has been resolved, and while full terms of the agreement weren't released, SouthPeak attributes a solid chunk of its $5.8 million in losses to the legal issues. Mroz says "the litigation costs of $3.2 and 3 million" that the company had to pay "were mainly related to CDV."

Next up, the company wants to "put these matters behind us and continue to focus on our business and future growth," but not without My Baby. SouthPeak is still embroiled in the fight over that title with Nobilis and Majesco. Chairman Terry Phillips says that SouthPeak feels the My Baby title "is our series, so we're still hoping that that can happen."
