It’s been quite the week for fanatics of sewer levels and spelunkers, with 33 miners freed from a San Jose gold and copper mine in Chile’s northern Atacama desert, and the completion of the longest tunnel on the planet, spanning 35 miles and costing 10 billion dollars of Switzerland’s tax payers money. Also, 3,600 gamers banded together for charity and raised over $420,000 for Extra Life which is a 150% increase from last year’s efforts. Why all the random factoids you ask?

Vanquish — Russia and the United States are vying for ownership of the world’s fast-depleting energy resources and the US has constructed a space station in order to harness energy from the sun.
