There's good news and bad news. The bad news first: The UnderGarden is not coming to PSN until next year -- while readers were excited to see it on the PS3 when it was first announced, Atari told me during a preview this week that it won't be on that platform until 2011. I asked for a reason, but they said they didn't have one to give.

It will, however, be available on XBLA and the PC this November, and the good news is that it plays exactly like we were told it would: the whole experience is very harmless, very zen, dreamy, and blissful. Atari told me that they expected it to serve as a "palate cleanser" between sessions of murderous Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed matches, and the serene little denizens of The UnderGarden seem ready to serve that role very well.

The night of All Hallows Eve is quickly approaching, and this week's European PSN update is appropriately 'ween-themed. There's the release of Costume Quest (the relevance of which is obvious), as well as Swords and Soldiers, which is ... a kind of costume, we guess. Then there's new DLC for Dead Rising 2 (spooky!) and Split/Second (which features car crashes, which are even spookier), and finally, there's the launch of the PSOne Classics Pong and Centipede, which have absolutely nothing to do with the Halloween theme whatsoever.

In 2009, our Spartan Army asked for the God of War and God of War II experience to be brought forth on a single Blu-ray disc for the PlayStation 3. Almost two years later, we are bringing the same great Epic Adventures of Conquest, Destiny and Revenge directly to you through the PlayStation Store.

For those that need a refresher, God of War: Collection was the first to introduce the God of War and God of War II experience in true 720p HD form. Both titles were remastered with anti-aliased graphics, running at 60 frames per second for a smooth gameplay experience, only on the PlayStation 3 system. Additionally, it also introduced PSN Trophy support to the franchise for the very first time.

Be sure to keep your eyes glued to the PlayStation Store update on 11/2 as both the God of War: Collection and God of War: Ghost of Sparta experience will be available through the PlayStation Store for the first very time.

*God of War: Collection, God of War HD and God of War II HD PSN versions will not contain bonus material and extras from the Blu-ray. Game only.

As a celebration of the franchise's newfound ability to rent an automobile, Nintendo recently sprang for a somewhat unfitting present in the city of Melbourne, Australia: A Super Mario-themed train. Certain public trams recently received a bright red paint job, and now detail the timeline of the plumber's major console appearances over the past 25 years. Note the use of the word "major" in that last sentence -- we sincerely doubt Hotel Mario made it on board.

Upon further examination of the image above, the front of the train actually kind of looks like Mario's face, which is ... upsetting. Like, Mario's supposed to be short and squat -- seeing him stretched long and thin, like delicious, mustachioed taffy, is a truly haunting sight.

We know, we know -- you're really into solving murder mysteries, but you still don't own a PlayStation 3. You'll be glad to hear that Blue Toad Murder Files is finally heading to the PC, having completed its episodic launch on the PlayStation Network. All six episodes of the relentlessly British puzzle game (from the creators of Buzz!) will be available as of November 24 from "online games distribution sites," in addition to the game's official website, for $19.99 (£14.99).

Oh, you don't have a PC either? Look, maybe it's time we had a talk. We're just ... worried, that's all.
