Hi everyone, as we approach our first anniversary the team is busy preparing something special for you all. Hope you’re excited. Here’s the info for today’s releases.

For WoW fans we have World of Warcraft: Curse of the Worgen #1. A series of grisly, animalistic murders have rocked the walled town of Gilneas. A famous detective sets out to discover the perpetrators and finds far more than he bargained for. To find the truth, he must delve through years of twisted history – both the history of his family and Gilneas itself. This pivotal 5-issue miniseries explores the in-depth lore of the Worgen!

Artist Ludo Lullabi tells us more in this exclusive creator Q&A:

The artwork evokes the atmosphere of Azeroth perfectly. How challenging was it to capture this world in the format of a comic book?

Before working on the World of Warcraft comics series, I was a regular player and knew the general atmosphere of the game. The adaptation of my art to the comics came naturally… When I wasn’t sure of something, I went into the game on my tiger mount to study the places in which the story took place!

How much WORLD OF WARCRAFT do you play?

I played World of Warcraft very regularly when the game came out, as well as Burning Crusade. Due to a lack of time because of my work and also the fact that I want to discover all other games out there, I play less and less. I have not investigated everything in Wrath of the Lich King yet. My avatar is still lvl 78, though…

Who are your favourite comic creators?

I am influenced by many creators but to quote only some of them:
Joe Madureira, Humberto Ramos, Katsuhiro Otomo.

Name some of your favourite comic book characters, and artistic influences.

The comic books which most influenced me are “Akira” by Otomo and “Battle Chasers” by Joe Mad.

Stay tuned to playstationcomics.com for more WoW: Curse of the Worgen interviews – coming soon.

Elsewhere, Markosia bring us Turkey Grove Farms. Something has gone very wrong on the farm, tired of ending up on people’s plates the turkeys revolt and force the farm hands to provide them with a certain turkey substitute. A dark, adult but most of all, funny comic that you should be sure to pick up. Just look out for the over amorous bull.

IDW deliver the next installment of a personal favorite, Locke and Key: Keys to the Kingdom. In case you didn’t know Stephen Spielberg is producing a Locke & Key TV series, so why not read the comics before everyone jumps on the band wagon!

Born in fire. Raised by monsters. Destined to destroy. On an alien planet shattered by war, no one is stronger than Skaar, the savage Son of Hulk. Marvel release the first two issues today.

That’s it for this week. Check out the list below for all the new releases, or check out our website to browse the entire catalog and to take part in the forums.

Soaring past the one-million mark set just last month, Chillingo's iOS hit Cut the Rope has reached three million in sales. It's a feat undoubtedly bringing great joy to the developer (and even greater joy to EA), but let's not ignore the real story here: How many countless, innocent ropes have had their lives shortened at the expense of slash-happy fingers? Will no one think of the poor ropes in all of this? No? Okay, then -- moving on.

In addition to the sales hurrah, Chillingo detailed Cut the Rope's first free update. Coming "soon," the Version 1.1 patch will introduce the "Cosmic Box," which houses 25 new challenges themed around "a unique anti-gravity feature" that turns the game's physics upside down. The update also includes "enhanced" Retina Display graphics, more accurate scoring, "more expressive" Om Nom animations, new sounds and 11 new achievements.

We know of at least one weirdo who has been patiently waiting for the North American release of Spelunker HD -- because he's writing this post. Those of you who, like me, are looking forward to joining up with five friends and exploring ghost-filled caves as an adventurer who can't fall more than about five feet without dying, will be able to do so on November 23.

That's when the long-awaited (again, by me) Spelunker HD arrives on PSN for $9.99. It features both new, updated HD graphics and a "retro mode" which displays the new game in authentic 8-bit style. Check out a trailer after the break -- a trailer that features surprisingly long stretches of death-free gameplay.

Around this time each year, we find ourselves buying peculiar things -- fruit cakes and pine trees and ... Madagascar Kartz -- but we never expected we'd have a chance to buy a new Xbox 360 ... from 2005! Not just any old '05 360, mind you, but a 2005 Launch Team console -- available to bid on (in Australian dollars!) on eBay.

As noted in the auction listing, the launch consoles were only given to folks "intimately involved in designing the console," and the one in question is still functioning, surprisingly. ("The console was last used around September or October of 2008 and was reading discs and playing games fine before being packed away," the listing claims.)

We might normally warn against the danger of buying a launch Xbox 360 given the ubiquity of that model's failure rate, but we're guessing this baby's gonna get mounted on a wall somewhere rather than actually be expected to play games. At least, we're hoping ... for your sake, you crazy person who wins the auction.

[Thanks, Godot]

Don't want to let go of your Miq'ote Conjurer in Final Fantasy XIV just yet? Well now you don't have to: Square Enix has extended the free trial period by thirty days. In the press release for the announcement -- which is available just past the break -- Square Enix says it's not only in part to thank players, but to also give those who have yet to commit or ditch the title a chance to tinker around with an update set to drop on November 25.

As such, there will now be a running thread detailing changes coming in the November update, as well as an additional update planned for December. And relax: if you took advantage of the previous trial extension, you're still eligible here along with any user who registers a Final Fantasy XIV account and purchases a character by November 19.

In celebration of the impending holiday, we’re bringing the popular Turkey Chase game back to Central Plaza! To play, simply approach the giant stone turkey, proclaim your allegiance to the almighty Meleagris Gallopavo by stating “gobble gobble,” and then proceed to chase down legions of wily turkeys while unlocking some truly hilarious rewards. It’s not only ridiculous(ly fun), it’s the most festive way to pass the hours and days leading up to Thanksgiving. Check out this video for a sneak peek at what we have in store for you Thursday.

See you in Home!
