Sony announced this week that BBC America programming is heading to PlayStation 3's across the United States. To kick off the new partnership, BBC America has made the first episode of the American version of "Top Gear" available at no charge (normally $1.99 for SD, $2.99 for HD), at least for the first two weeks. "Doctor Who" and "Being Human" will join "Top Gear" on the network's launch list at some point in December, and BBC America promises to "rapidly add BBC programming each week, including the best of the BBC's library as well as currently airing series."

As you've likely already guessed, the BBC's offerings can be found in the video section of the PlayStation Store starting right now.

If you didn't manage to snag a PSP "3-Game Digital Pack" at your local retailer yesterday, Amazon's offer of a $150 PSP Go -- lasting until "Cyber Monday" -- should help mend your broken heart. If Sony's digital-only handheld doesn't get you going, perhaps the site's other Cyber Monday deals will? You can find all the specifics after the break.

Back in 2001, Nintendo released a fairly gorgeous commercial for Golden Sun -- however, for all its glitz and glamor, it wasn't exactly packing in the coherence department. A giant crystal dragon, totally wrecking shop in a jap-packed opera house? We don't remember that in the original Game Boy Advance RPG. As it turns out, there's a reason for that: That sequence wouldn't make it into the franchise until this very year, with the release of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

Check out a comparison of the commercial and the (slightly spoilery) clip from Dark Dawn after the jump -- just try not to think about why it took almost a decade for the translucent dragon to arrive. Was the commercial just prescient or something?

Here’s a bit more proof that Game Informer is going to reveal the new Lara Croft game in their next issue. We just recently found out that the ‘A Survivor is Born’ tagline from the Game Informer teaser was registered by none other than EIDOS, which is now part of Square-Enix. If that [...]

Adorable puzzle game ilomilo may already be out (for free, no less) on Windows Phone 7 devices, but did you know you can play it on your Xbox 360 as well, like, right now? A dutiful tipster pointed us to the developer's website, where a "super secret" access page gives out an Xbox Live code that redeems for the trial version of the game.

As you probably already put together, downloading the trial version of ilomilo also means that -- if you're willing to shell out the 800 MS Points ($10) it costs -- you can totally buy the full game. More bizarre? The game doesn't have an official release date just yet. So, you can buy it right now and tell your friends you're on that new, new, new ish. That "hasn't even been given a release date" ish, you know?

[Thanks blahman!]

The precarious, towering pile of evidence that Square Enix is planning a big reveal for a new installment in the Tomb Raider franchise just got a little bit taller -- Tomb Raider BIZ, a fansite for the crypt-plundering series, recently uncovered a trademark filed by the UK office of Square Enix, reserving the phrase "A Survivor is Born" for use with "computer game software" and "video game software" and "potpourri." Aha! We made that last one up. Just making sure you're paying attention.

So, in summary: The full spread teaser posted in the latest edition of Game Informer was definitely placed there by Square Enix, is probably hinting at a new Tomb Raider game, and we'll totally hear more about it when the cover of the next issue of Game Informer drops, which will absolutely happen on December 6. We're no mixologists, but that sounds like a pretty delicious recipe for a rumor cocktail.
