Building on 2009's initial offering, Rock Band Reloaded ($4.99 on iPhone/iPod Touch; $9.99 on iPad) adds a new expert mode and full vocal support in the sequel. Just promise us you won't be that guy on the bus, okay?

The iPad version of the game supports split-screen multiplayer, along with several different ways to present the action on screen -- lefties can orient gameplay so and there's even a full-screen drum kit to fool around with. For the full list of launch tracks, as well as free and premium tracks accessible through the App store and the game itself, dive on past the break.

#review Why should anyone in their right mind pay good money for a console port of a game you can play on a PC, right now, for free? More »

Club Nintendo has introduced two more choices for your fun-money shopping. Another 10-Coin screensaver is available, this time featuring Dragon Quest IX artwork against a backdrop of the world map. If you're less prone to screen burn-in and more prone to spill your drink, you may be more interested in the other new item: the set of three Mario towels originally released in Japan last July.

Of course, given that each towel goes for 350 Coins, you'd probably be better off reaching for the paper towels, instead of ordering one of these and then waiting several weeks for it to arrive. We don't want to imagine the horror of actually cleaning with one of these. They're too ... collectible!

A Celebration Collection This collectible package features four classic Mario™ games, a soundtrack CD and an illustrated commemorative booklet. It’s a special collection of some never-before-seen items released in honor of the 25th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros.™ game on the Nintendo Entertainment System™. FEATURES: The games included in the Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition are: Super [...]

With the option to purchase an actual Tron Light Cycle out of the question -- 'cause, they're in the computer -- we'll have to settle with the dream of owning a replica by Parker Brothers Choppers. The shop made 10 street-legal Light Cycle machines and one of the four remaining can be yours for the rez-onable price of $55,000.

According to Autopia, the vehicle weighs 474 pounds, is over 100" long and 23" wide, with the rider lying 28.5" from the ground. It looks awesome and we'd totally ride on one, but only after we did the responsible thing and registered as an organ donor. Check out some footage of the real-world Light Cycle after the break.

EA CEO John Riccitiello has bad news for fans of skateboarding games: The genre is dead. Action sports games still have a place in players' consoles, he says, but "for the level of excitement out there, skateboarding seems to have run its course as the representative example in that broader genre." Too bad, Tony Hawk players -- the competitor of the company that makes your games says they're not exciting. Though in his defense, EA's own Skate 3 wasn't that exciting either.

But there's good news, according to Riccitiello, for another flagging genre. Music games can possibly make a comeback, the CEO says, though even he isn't sure how. "I think the music genre is going to recover ... It could be based on some new innovation. Maybe it all becomes dance-based." Oh, that's rich, Riccitiello -- a super-popular dance game based on some kind of innovative technology? If only that "falling knife" Harmonix made something like that.
