Yes, this really is an accessory for your accessories. It helps to make your RIDE board and Balance Board a little more steady. Now you have less of a chance of cracking your head open from a nasty fall…maybe.

Shadow-manipulation puzzler Echochrome 2 will make its merry way onto PSN on December 21. The unique puzzle game, which uses PlayStation's Move controller like a virtual flashlight, is all about manipulating the shadows created by objects in each level to help the character escape. The game ships with 100 levels, each playable in three different modes, and will also feature a robust level editor.

Still not making sense? Check out the previously released video to get a better idea of the flashlight-infused gameplay.

As promised, Oddworld Inhabitants reports it will successfully launch The Oddboxx before the end of 2010. A collection of the studio's previous Oddworld games, The Oddboxx includes Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus, as well as Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath -- the latter two games' first appearance on the PC platform.

Launching on Steam during "the 2010 Holiday Season," gamers will be able to download each title individually or in a complete bundle. Expect "a few new additions and enhancements" to the games, which Oddworld Inhabitants says will be announced "in the run-up to its release date."

Two more crazy Kinect hacks have been captured on video, making a nice thematic pairing. First, Razorfish's DaVinci software has been ported to Kinect, allowing users to draw onscreen by making gestures, and then interact with those drawn objects Crayon Physics-style.

Second, researchers at UC Berkeley's Hybrid Systems lab mounted a Kinect on an autonomous quadracopter, allowing the machine to sense its surroundings in 3D. You know who else invented a crazy helicopter thing? That's right -- Da Vinci! We told you there was a theme.

Check out both videos after the break, and ponder the question: if Kinect can now fly around on its own, why would it want to stay home and play MotionSports with you?

Whereas previous media has focused on the whole "Hey, check out our '40s L.A. setting" thing, the latest screens of Team Bondi's L.A. Noire highlight the "investigation" aspect of the game. As a detective, you have to scour crime scenes, talk to witnesses, interrogate suspects, and do actual detective work in order to solve cases.

Of course, given the historical setting, we suspect a lot of the investigation time will involve you desperately wishing for a time machine so you could just perform a DNA analysis or check a fingerprint database. L.A. Noire is decidedly pre-CSI.
