We thought that nothing related to Super Meat Boy could possibly be more upsetting than that I Want to Be the Guy level, but there's no way we could have foreseen ... this. Graphic artist Dave Rapoza, who caught the eye of Team Meat with an equally disturbing piece of fan art earlier this year, has drawn up a new hyper-realistic design that will make its way onto the box of the Super Meat Boy PC special edition. Check out the full illustration after the jump.

We can't place our finger on what makes our initial reaction to the painting one of immeasurable horror; it really is an incredibly creative and beautifully drawn interpretation of the game's tiny, pixelated lead characters. Maybe that's what's so upsetting -- we never imagined that hidden within that blocky frame was a totally ripped physique.

Developer HandCircus is best known for its work on Rolando, the heavily LocoRoco-inspired iOS platforming series. Whereas Rolando was criticized for borrowing a bit too much from Sony's PSP franchise, the studio's first console effort is an entirely original affair -- and will arrive exclusively on Sony's system via the PlayStation Network.

Okabu is described as a "hyper-tactile toybox world filled with a huge number of puzzles, playthings, adorable creatures and devious machines." You and a friend can team up in the co-op campaign, utilizing all sorts of animals as tools. Not making much sense? Perhaps the debut trailer will clear things up.

Rumors started circulating yesterday about the rebirth of a Raven-developed James Bond game. Today, a poster on NeoGAF has unearthed footage that could very well be from that project in the demo reel of Hanjin Song, an animator on Raven's recent sci-fi FPS, Singularity.

While the gameplay bears a surface resemblance to Bizarre Creations' just-released James Bond 007: Blood Stone, the screencap above show's a different UI, a new environment and what appears to be a more detailed model of Bond star Daniel Craig. In Song's clip, we see the super spy engaging in some death-defying parkour, sneaking around behind cover and, of course, shooting incompetent minions.

We haven't heard back from Activision nor Song -- so don't start pre-ordering just yet -- but if we're not looking at the rumored Raven project, we're having a tough time imagining what else it could be.

Ngmoco's freemium Star Wars: Imperial Academy is available now on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The four-player deathmatch arena shooter has players leveling up to outfit their clones with the latest (addendum: a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away) in Stormtrooper weapons and armor. Of course, this being a freemium title, one can also just pay their way to fame. We hear Jabba the Hutt has reasonable interest rates on loans.

The controls for the game are certainly an acquired taste, but at an initial cost of "free," it won't cost anything to see if they work for you. For us, that thing went on and off the iPhone faster than an ice cube's lifespan at midday on Tatooine -- with both suns out.

Said DSiWare release will occur next Monday, December 13. Look forward to having two convenient options for fulfilling your Red Riding Hood-blasting-the-undead needs. Check out an oddly windowed trailer after the break.
