Dear Joystiq,

Can you recommend any good, cheep adventure games on PlayStation Network?

With lots of crap,
Brad Butler

Well, Butter Face, as a matter of fact we can recommend a good, "cheep" adventure game on PSN. Check out Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People, which crams in five Strong-Bad-Packed episodes for only 15 simoleons starting December 21. That's half the price of the PC version! Just imagine all the cold ones you could purchase with that extra dough in the pocket of your stale, unwashed jeans. Or maybe you could pay someone to wash your jeans. Seriously, B-man, you should do something about those.

Yours,
Joystiq

With all the hype surrounding the likes of Gran Turismo 5 and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Forza Motorsport 3 dev Turn 10 Studios would like owners of its Xbox 360-exclusive racing sim to know that they're not forgotten. To that end, it's releasing the Community Choice Classics pack on December 14 for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), featuring 10 new cars voted into the game by fans.

For us, the highlight of the pack is the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12. (We probably shouldn't tell Turn 10 it could've just sold the car by itself for $5 and called it a day.) You'll find the full list of cars after the brake break, and remember: just like election day, you can't complain about the winners if you didn't vote. Well, you can, but you'll sound like a big jerk.

The EA Store has added a pre-order listing for Mass Effect 3 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The listing includes a description that the "Earth is burning" and Commander Shepard (that's you!) has to gather the races of the galaxy to launch "one final mission" against machines striking from beyond known space.

No release window is provided on the site. Well, guess that confirms the rumors we've been hearing about. The game is expected to be officially announced tomorrow during the 2010 VGAs on Spike. Just in case the page gets pulled, we've saved a full screengrab after the break, along with the game's description, just below.
Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth.
[Thanks, Devin M]

Indie dev Dejobaan Games, best known for AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, has officially announced its next game, the less difficult to spell, easier to remember: 1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby). The studio tells us that Kick It! is the result of the "very strongly prototyped" Musorqua project, which creates levels based on your MP3 library.

Kick It! is currently in alpha testing and available to purchase for $9.95 (33 percent off the final price), with an official release date expected in the next six to nine months. The studio will continue updating the game free of charge for those who purchase now. Dejobaan is also seeking feedback with "crazy-ass ideas" while they continue to polish the game. Speaking of crazy, drop on by past the break for the game's non compos mentis trailer.

We'll forgive you if you've forgotten that Quake Arena Arcade was even coming to Xbox Live Arcade. After all, it was announced in 2007 and "very close" to being done in 2009. Whatever that final development hurdle was, it must've been a whopper, but it's been overcome and the game will arrive ... next week. December 15, to be exact.

Bethesda won't be announcing pricing until just before the game's release, but it'll surely cost less than a second-hand Dreamcast, broadband adapter and copy of Quake 3 Arena.
