Coming from a GameSpot interview with Airtight Games chief creative officer Matt Brunner...

"In all honesty, all the Wii U games I've ever played, the only good ones are the ones that are made specifically for [the Wii U]. And this just doesn't fit."

That has to be one of the most asinine answers I've ever heard. The GamePad, while it does have bells and whistles, also acts as a traditional controller. I fail to see how this title wouldn't work just fine on Wii U.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall, all new content for Shadowrun Returns is Now Available on Steam!

MAN MEETS MAGIC & MACHINE. In 2012, magic returned to our world, awakening powerful creatures of myth and legend. Among them was the Great Dragon Feuerschwinge, who emerged without warning from the mountains of Germany unleashing fire, death, and untold destruction across the countryside. It took German forces nearly four months to finally shoot her down - and when they finally did, the event became known as the Dragonfall.

Its 42 years later - 2054 - and the world has changed. Unchecked advances in technology have blurred the line between man and machine. Elves and trolls walk among us, ruthless corporations bleed the world dry, and Feuerschwinges reign of terror is just a distant memory. Germany is splintered - a stable anarchy known as the Flux State controls the city of Berlin. Its a place where power is ephemeral, almost anything goes, and the right connections can be the difference between success and starvation. For you and your team of battle-scarred shadowrunners, theres no better place to earn a quick payday.

Now, a new threat is rising, one that could mean untold chaos and devastation. One that soon has you and your team caught on the wrong side of a deadly conspiracy. The only clue: whispers of the Dragonfall. Rumors that the Great Dragon Feuerschwinge may still be alive, waiting for the right moment to return…

This is a Deja Review: A quick, unscored look at the new features and relative agelessness of a remade, revived or re-released game. Two classic RPGs have finally arrived on the PlayStation 3 as Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, allowing many players to experience two of the previous decade's most satisfying adventures, Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, for the first time.

Originally released on the GameCube, Tales of Symphonia tells the story of a young daydreamer named Lloyd Irving. He becomes a hero over the course of a globe-trotting quest with his friends. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, released on Wii in 2008, explores events that took place in the years after its predecessor's conclusion. The lead protagonist is a young lad named Emil who despises village hero Lloyd for seemingly justifiable reasons, though he's too timid to act on his hatred. Before long, a run-in with some unusual strangers forces him to embark on an adventure of his own.

The two games are similar, sharing key mechanics like active battles and a lack of random encounters (enemies are visible and can be avoided). Dawn of the New World, however, allows players to ask monsters to join the team once they have been thoroughly trounced, a unique twist for the series. Neither game was particularly innovative upon release, but that works out for the best. Fantasy tropes are supported by enjoyable Japanese role-playing game elements, borrowed by previous Tales games and from genre staples like Star Ocean, Dragon Quest and Shin Megami Tensei. There's plenty of content without needlessly complicated systems that might prevent newcomers from joining in on the fun.

Zombie has been getting a lot of questions about when the next patch hits for the Blacklight: Retribution PS4 beta, and what will be in it. We’re happy to announce that the first content patch for Blacklight: Retribution on PS4 will go live today, Thursday February 27th. This patch includes too many things to list here, so we’ll stick to the really, really good stuff – the first of which is the introduction of our cooperative game mode: Onslaught!

Onslaught Game Mode

Onslaught pits four Blacklight Agents against an endless horde of infected. Players will have to strategize and cooperate when building their loadouts in order to complete the challenges of Onslaught as a team.

Each wave and enemy type will force you to adapt as the threat changes. If you bank too heavily on fortifying one area, you might find yourself overrun. But if you remain too light and mobile, you may not have the heavy firepower you need to punch through what comes next. Rely on your wits and gear to see you through it. Those who find a way to succeed will be rewarded for their efforts!

12798501424_3259565841_n.jpg12798087575_4fa53022fd_n.jpg

New Multiplayer Maps!

Decay and Metro are both included for you to play on!

Metro is set in an abandoned subway station long since taken over by squatters. Players will face fierce firefights in the narrow corridors. Only teams who find a way to exploit open avenues of attack can succeed here. Watch your flanks, and make sure you know which way the threat is coming.

Decay is a slum fortress set deep in the worst and most rundown area of the city. Threats will come from above and below in this rat warren. Teams will need to stay sharp as they move together and watch the roof tops and ruined buildings. Keep your eyes peeled for ambushes in the shadows, and don’t get pinned down.

Private Matches

We’ve also introduced private servers to Blacklight: Retribution PS4. With these, you can set up matches for just you and your friend so you can play the way you want, with who you want. Sometimes you just need to get away from the mayhem of public matches and enjoy a more gentrified experience with your friends.

Matchmaking Improvements

Zombie’s number one priority during this patch has been to make it easy for you to find a fun game of Blacklight to play. This includes matching itself, as well as host migration and host selection. We’ve also added a lot of tools that will let us further tune this moving forward.

Game Optimizations

Our beta players have been exceptionally helpful. You’ve let us know about issues you’ve run into, and it’s helped the team target areas for improvement. With this patch, you’ll notice improved frame rates, faster loads, and a smoother experience overall. Thank you all for playing the Blacklight: Retribution beta on PS4!
