Did you know that the domain batmanarkhamknight.com was registered by WB over a year ago? Ever since that finding, nothing was going on with that domain. That has changed recently, as the domain has now gone active, but is still has viewing restricted to those behind the scenes. Looks like something is brewing, but we'll have to wait just a bit longer to find out what's really up.

A portion of an NWR interview with Jools Watsham...

NWR: Was there any consideration to develop the remake for the Wii U?

JW: Our thoughts have always been primarily on the 3DS version, but we have discussed a Wii U version. That is something that would only happen if the 3DS version is a runaway hit so we could afford to invest in a complete visual upgrade to take advantage of the increased graphical power offered by the Wii U.

NWR: Do you see future games from Renegade Kid being released as episodic content?

JW: Yes, I think some of our future games could work well with the episodic approach. In many ways, Moon Chronicles is a good test for this method, and its performance will affect our future plans for adopting it again.

NWR: What can you tell us about the recently announced Razor Global Domination? How far along are you in development?

JW: We're in the early stages of development.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation announced that it has sold 2.5 million Raspberry Pi Model B units since the device's initial launch in February of 2012.

Built to encourage the teaching of computer science in schools, the Raspberry Pi is a credit card-sized computer that offers a range of features and open-source software support for hobbyist programmers. Indie developer Mojang released a free version of Minecraft for the device last year, and next month's launch of Code Club Pro will deliver curriculum training and online resources to primary school teachers worldwide.

Developer Beenox and publisher Activison have revealed a release date for movie tie-in The Amazing Spider-Man 2: April 29. Would-be wallcrawlers in the UK will receive the game on May 2, the same day that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters.

Those who pre-order the game from either UK retailer GAME or GameStop will receive a code for the Web Threads Suit Pack DLC. Included in the Pack are Spider-Man's red and gold Iron Spider Suit, the Cosmic Spider-Man Suit he wore while possessed by the Power Cosmic, the Spider-Man Noir costume from the pulp-homage comic of the same name, and of course, the Black Suit that would eventually go on to spawn Spider-Man's nemesis Venom.

You'd better scrounge up another soul, because you will soon owe it to Zynga, which plans to release new mobile versions of FarmVille, Poker and Words with Friends "in the coming months." Specifically, the company will launch FarmVille 2: Country Escape, New Zynga Poker and New Words with Friends.

FarmVille 2: Country Escape will serve as a mobile extension of the web version of FarmVille 2. Players will be able to connect the two games, allowing them to transfer items from one to the other. Country Escape will also allow for offline play. New Poker, meanwhile, adds new social features that will simplify playing directly with friends. It will also feature adaptive difficulty, monitoring player skill levels and placing them at appropriately challenging tables.

Finally, New Words with Friends updates the original formula with a built-in dictionary and detailed player profiles. And fear not if you already have a few nail-biters in progress, as current games will automatically transfer to New Words with Friends. Sadly, our request to implement lasers and random loot drops seems to have been ignored.

Zynga didn't specify which mobile platforms can expect its new lineup, though promotional images (like the one above), show the games running on Apple devices. Given Zynga's prolific nature, Android ports wouldn't be surprising. [Image: Zynga]

Ouya Everywhere aims to put Ouya games on devices that aren't Ouyas, such as televisions or PCs, CEO Julie Uhrman revealed to Slashdot and A-list Daily. Uhrman plans to announce details about Ouya's software initiative this week.

"One thing you'll start to see is Ouya on other people's devices," Uhrman told A-list. She continued, "We started with a $99 box, but we always wanted to create a console platform that can live on other people's devices. We just knew it was going to take us a little bit of time to get it ready. Now we think the software is good enough, it's ready to be embedded in other people's devices. We actually started having some of these conversations during CES, and the takeup was so great that we're really jumping into the strategy with both feet this year."

Ouya signed one deal at CES, Uhrman told Slashdot. The company aims to craft a games-delivery system that "could be another set-top box" or "could be the TV itself," she said.

Ouya is talking with partners about bringing its games to PC, and the company is "thinking about" building a Steam-like application. Porting Ouya's Android games to other platforms is conceivable, according to Uhrman: "Based on our strategy to bring games to gamers wherever they are, it is absolutely conceivable that we will."
