The Xbox 360 joins the Peggle 2 party on May 7, when PopCap's mix of pachinko, unicorns, and classical music tumbles onto systems in North America and Europe. There's no word on a price, but the game is tagged at $12 on Xbox One.

The news comes on the same day PopCap launched a new Duel Mode for the Xbox One version, allowing two players to fight locally for the right to call themselves a true Peggle Master - duels were previously limited to online matches. EA confirmed Duel Mode is coming to the Xbox 360 port, too.

EA limited today's announcement to the Xbox 360, but PopCap hasn't been shy about its desire to bring the pinballing sequel to "as many platforms as possible." A South Korean rating from last year suggests one of those platforms is the PS4. [Image: EA]

WB has just announced that Batman: Arkham Knight, the conclusion to Rocksteady‘s genre-defining Arkham series, is coming to PS4 this year. In it, players will become the Batman in what promises to be the most detailed, fully realized rendition of Gotham yet — and they’ll get to drive the Batmobile, too.

Watch the stunning announce trailer above, and read on for more details from WB.

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment are announcing Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady Studios’ conclusion to the series of award-winning titles Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and is scheduled to be released worldwide on PS4 in 2014.

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise.

A listing for Batman: Arkham Knight appeared on the GAME retailer site. While no longer available to view, the game was listed for PS4, Xbox One and PC. A Google search limited to GAME's site shows the listing existed in some capacity before being pulled by the retailer.

Update: Game Informer revealed that Batman: Arkham Knight will be the cover of its April magazine. The game will be the final one in the Arkham series from Rocksteady, and is set after the events of Batman: Arkham City. The game will feature the Batmobile and a new area of Gotham City reportedly "far larger" than that of Arkham City. Batman will spend his time in the game hunting down familiar foes: Scarecrow, Two-Face, Penguin and Harley Quinn in particular. [Image: WBIE]

So, a clever thing happened before I’d even started playing the game which has me on Spoiler Protection Alert, and thus rather ill-placed to say useful things about Extrasolar. Added to that is that this planetary exploration game itself plays in real-time, which means I need to wait several hours for my interstellar rover to trek across miles of alien terrain before I can usefully report back on the unfolding adventure. Which does, of course, mean I’ve spent far too much of today starting a timer in a browser window, desperate to see what’s going to happen when it reaches zero.

Extrasolar is free, though optional paid upgrades are available. You should sign up while you wait for me to file a longer report. Though I do believe there are limited spaces. Perhaps you’ll find a way to get in anyway. … [visit site to read more]

PS Vita owners, rejoice! The big day is finally here, and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f is available today for download on PlayStation Store for PS Vita in North America!

The game releases on PSN today for $29.99, and for all you European readers, it will be available next week on March 12th in Europe! If you’ve never heard of this game before, here are the basics: Take the world’s most popular digital singer, add in over 30 of her most beloved songs, turn it all into a super-addictive rhythm game, and you’ve got Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f. We released the game last August on PS3, and following huge support from fans, we’re so excited to finally bring you all the PS Vita version of the game today!

We’re also very excited to announce our DLC Cross-Buy promotion, effective immediately for anyone who owns the Snow Miku 2013 DLC or the Extra Characters Pack DLC for the PS3 version of the game. If you already own this DLC content, you’ll unlock it for free when you pick up the PS Vita version of the game! (And vice versa, if you pick it up for PS Vita first.)

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f also comes with a built-in video editor mode, aptly titled “Edit Mode” – here, you can build your very own rhythm game tracks and music videos with all the in-game tools at your disposal! PS Vita owners will also be able to share and download their Edit Data with PS3 users!

Some of you were wondering if we’d bring out the Extra Songs Pack in the West – and we’re happy to confirm not only that it’s available today, but that we’ll be releasing it for only $9.99! We lowered the price on this compared to the Japanese release, because we wanted to ensure that PS Vita owners weren’t paying any more for the full Project Diva experience than their PS3 brethren. We hope you all will enjoy it!

This pack includes the songs below, with four difficulties for each:

  • Tell Your World (By livetune)
  • Tokyo Teddy Bear (By Neru)
  • Dream-Eating Monochrome Baku (By Nem)
  • Sweet Devil (By Hachioji P)
  • Rin-Chan Now! (By Owata P & sezu)
  • Senbonzakura (By Kurousa P (White Flame) )

Thank you all so much for helping this Miku dream of ours come true. You’ve been nothing but supportive from the first day we asked for your likes and shares on our Facebook post, and since then, we’ve come all the way to the launch of Project Diva, not just on PS3, but finally today, on PS Vita, too.

It’s a journey we’re so humbled to have made, and so thankful to have traveled with all of you behind us and supporting us.

Happy Miku Vita Launch Day, everyone, and thank you, once more!

First there was Batman: Arkham Macguyver, then there was Batman: Arkham A Bit Of City, then Batman: Arkham Oranges, and now there is Batman: Arkham Nighty-Night. Oh, alright, just Arkham Knight. But I’m only calling it that this once.

And it has a driveable Batmobile! Jeez guys, why’d it take you four games to come up with that idea? But all jolly exciting – a car, and Rocksteady back at the helm, should mean a mite more sense of advancement than the solid but rinse’n'repeaty Arkham Oranges. (Though hopefully the returning dev has learned a thing or two about thug dialogue.) … [visit site to read more]

There may be friendly faces everywhere, but the South Park: The Stick of Truth launch trailer is prolifically NSFW, and it's slightly spoiler-y - but it's also pretty great. The game's not bad, either, according to our three-and-a-half-star review, which said, "If you can also forgive the repetitive nature of combat and some uninspired quests, it's worth taking up arms - or dildos - for The Stick of Truth's hilarious, disgusting adventure."

Of course, we're not the only kid in the class. Head below the break for a sampling of what others had to say on The Stick of Truth.

Awesomenauts is making a major comeback today on PS4 in the form of Awesomenauts Assemble! If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you’ll get the added bonus of a 20% discount during the first week.

Awesomenauts Assemble! combines modern, team-based multiplayer with classic, alien-blasting action. You’ll play as one of 15 interstellar mercenaries, each with his or her own unique abilities and upgrades. In battle, you’ll team up with two other players. These can either be random players or friends, both online or offline through splitscreen. Together, you’ll be facing off against a team of enemy players, automated turrets, droids, and the local wildlife as you try to blast your way forward towards the goal of destroying the enemy base. And you’ll do all this on lush, hand-drawn alien worlds.

If you last played Awesomenauts on PS3, you’re definitely in for a treat. The game has seen an almost complete overhaul, from the menus and balance to the netcode, everything has been improved. On top of that, a lot of content has been added compared to the original release. Awesomenauts Assemble! more than doubles the amount of characters, while also adding a new stealth-focused map and awesome, downloadable skins.

New character additions include Gnaw, an adorable alien dog-creature that can dominate areas with his acidic spit and spawnable minion turrets. Skølldir, a big space Viking whose groundstomp shakes the very planet, has also joined the team. Then there’s Ayla, a devious little girl with unimaginable psychokinetic powers. Just make sure to get out of her way when she becomes enraged. These are just a couple of the examples of new Awesomenauts you’ll be able to play with, adding more variety to a roster that was already varied.

12843647143_882292cc6e_n.jpg12843648233_e77a1557d6_n.jpg

And even more characters are underway! As you may know, a big expansion to the PC version of the game was funded through Kickstarter last year. This expansion included five new characters, custom game settings, and a brand new map. We’re happy to announce that content from this expansion content will be making its way to PS4 when development on that is further along!

When we first created Awesomenauts, our vision was to bring the fresh experience of the MOBA genre to console. And we wanted to do it in a way that fits consoles, by making everything more direct, more skill-based, more colorful, and — in the end — more fun. After we launched Awesomenauts on console back in May 2012, we moved it over to PC, and we’ve been expanding on it ever since.

Now, over a millions copies later, we’re happy to finally play the updated version from the couch again. All thanks to the amazing porting abilities of our friends at Abstraction Games, and of course, the power of PS4.

We’ll see you online!

Eventually everything you loved will be reborn, not as an expensive and confused studio reboot, but as a block-building or procedurally generated indie game. It’s a future in which communities and computers will be re-building your memories in perpetuity. In Gunscape, it’s the late-’90s FPS which is getting the block treatment, as it offers a construction kit for building Quake 1-3 style singleplayer and deathmatch levels, with texture and prop packs intended to allow you to theme those maps as you please.

There’s a Kickstarter campaign ongoing, which currently has $4,237 AUD of its $27,500 goal, though there’s plenty of footage of the game and editor already in action in the pitch video. There’s even a pre-alpha demo. I’ve had a quick play of it, but here’s the elevator sales pitch: “You could for example take the blocks and props from the Halo-inspired set, and the enemies from the Turok-inspired set, and build yourself a deathmatch map in space where you can hit a button and release velociraptors on the other players.” … [visit site to read more]

Time is ticking down to the launch of Drakengard 3, coming exclusively to PS3 on May 20th. As of today, we’ve entered wave 2 of our pre-order bonuses, and fans of the developer’s previous work should not miss what we’re giving out. Pre-ordering any time between now and April 9th gets you the Nier costume pack, bringing a little bit of that game’s fantastic and beautiful weirdness to Drakengard 3.

You can equip Zero in the costume of everyone’s favorite, foul-mouthed warrior, Kainè, or don the Replicant version of the game’s protagonist. Your dragon is not forgotten either, as he can wear the awesomely creepy-faced Emil hat.

The Nier costume pack expires on April 9th, and if you pre-order by then, don’t forget that you also get another bonus that we’ll reveal on that day — so don’t miss out! Of course, if you pre-ordered before today, you’ve already got the Nier costume pack included.

12885523815_f37fc995d6_z.jpg

Secondly, we’ve sat down with the game’s development team to bring you some insight into how Drakengard 3 came to fruition after eight years out of the spotlight. Today, we’ve got a candid interview with famed producer of the entire series, Takamasa Shiba, who discusses his experiences producing the franchise, how the series has evolved, and the “novel” idea of creating a prequel novella to dive even deeper into the characters’ histories and motivation.

You can check out the first chapter, starring Zero, on the newly refreshed www.drakengardgame.com, which now features character backgrounds, concept art, wallpapers, and super-cute downloadable Twitter icons. Call dibs on your favorite sister while you can.

We’ll be adding more chapters of the novella to the website, more interviews with the developers are coming soon, and before you know it, we’ll be revealing wave 3 of our pre-order bonuses.

May 20th is just around the corner!
