Silver Dollar Games' over-the-top two-button brawler One Finger Death Punch is now available on Steam after taking the grand prize in Microsoft's Dream Build Play competition back in 2012.

Originally released for the Xbox Live Indie Games service, One Finger Death Punch is a reflex-testing fighting game that challenges players to fend off waves of opponents with carefully-timed button presses as they approach from one of two directions. The game earned a devoted fan following after its initial release, winning it a spot in Steam's catalog via Greenlight.

One Finger Death Punch is available at a discounted rate of $3.99 during its debut week.

Nippon Ichi Software is releasing a sequel to The Guided Fate Paradox, and it's coming to the PlayStation 3 in Japan on July 24. Famitsu (via Gematsu) revealed some scant details today on The Guided Fate Cross Thesis: The plot apparently centers around two heroines, and if the player saves one of the ladies, the other one dies. Yikes.

Given The Guided Fate Paradox starred a hero who became a god by winning a mall lottery, the game's probably not as dark as that synopsis makes it sound. The first game combined isometric dungeon-crawling with the turn-based RPG strategy of Disgaea, and featured, among other things, a group of companion angels clad in maid outfits who help players do their godly duty. You know, like in most religions.

There'll be more details on The Guided Fate Cross Thesis in Famitsu's print magazine this month, but we'll have to wait and see if NISAmerica has any plans to bring it to the West like it did the prior game. [Image: Famitsu]

It hasn’t exactly been “business as usual” for Interceptor lately. First the Rise of the Triad necromancer stealthily didn’t quite reveal a new Duke Nukem game, and then Gearbox *did* entirely sue them for it. But while the Borderlands creator is flinging around 87 bazillion pieces of supposed evidence to the contrary, Interceptor believes it’s in the clear – especially in light of the fact that it now owns original Duke Nukem creator 3D Realms. What does all of this madness mean for Interceptor’s future, though? Is owning 3D Realms even a good thing these days, what with the stinking stain of Duke Nukem Forever still fresh on its name? And what happens to series like Shadow Warrior, which have been lent out (to great results) to other developers?

Also, Blood. Will there be Blood? Can there be Blood? All that and more below from CEO Frederik Schreiber and new 3DR head Mike Nielsen below.
