1) Which is better to use. Manual or Automatic?

2) Is unlocking a fast ghost an expert ghost?

1) It depends on the bike. Some like Bowser Bike(Flame Flyer), Mach Bike, Bullet Bike are PERFECT for automatic. Most karts are better off with manual.

I always use automatic because I don't really like the manual drifting in this game. I was REALLY good at it in the DS version... this one not so much D:

I can't stand slow karts, and in my oppinion, slow is standard kart M. And therefore, with speed, I really just can't use manual drifting, like SSG said.

Actually, I thought I just sucked at manual, and I was a n00b, but this is nice to hear. Plus, if you use the wiil, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use manual.

Personally, I prefer the manual drifting over the automatic drifting, because it adds a mini-turbo at the end, which get's you farther when you are drifting. Also, I recommend using automatic for awhile, and then manual, if you've just started to get used to the game.

Also unlocking a fast ghost, is an expert ghost.

I think both Manual and Automatic are equally good. It all depends on which fits your play style. Sure you get a nice mini boost but when I was facing people on wifi, I was the only one with automatic and I beat them all very easily :/ For manual, you also lose speed when drifting while for automatic you don't.
