WELCOME TO THE 2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

I am your corespondent in the field/host for today's events, so let's get started.

On Digibutter, the heated battle between the Cid and Daisy parties rages on, with votes already being casted though, it's hard to determine who will win. Will it be the stubborn but stern Cid and Goomba, or the rash but rambunctious Daisy and crew? Or maybe a third party will whip right past them!

It's all up to you!

I'll be here in the news room all day, bringing in reports with stats on the real world elections as well as interviews with voters and the people that matter!

STAY TUNED VIEWERS!

OUR FIRST INTERVIEW!

UNDECIDED VOTER MAIQ VOICES HIS OPINION ON THE ELECTIONS!

Quote:
Looking for the word of an undecided voter? I personally don't care about these elections. The way I see it is that whoever wins will probably get nothing more done than the members have been doing over the past year.(of course I'm being pessimistic about it) The main point of the DB president is to bring up issues and discuss them with Francis, right? What's so different between that and just making Francis check Feedback once in a while? It doesn't matter, I guess. If Francis actually adds some of the good ideas members come up with because of the president's power, then I have no reason to complain. I'll probably just rely on a coin flip between Baby Daisy/Ocelot and Cid/Goomba, since those two seem to have the most believable promises.

If Digibutter changes, then good. I'm sure that it certainly can't get more boring around here. If nothing really changes, then I guess I'll be the one to say "I told you so."

ANOTHER INTERVIEW!

THIS TIME WITH CRAPPY BLUE LUIGI!

LET'S HERE WHAT HE HAS TO SAY!

Quote:
It's either Baby Daisy or Cid.

Probably Cid, though, or Mister I could jump in from out of nowhere and smack some bitches.

INSPIRING!

THREE NEW INTERVIEWS!

FIRST, THE MOST IMPORTANT OFFICIAL OF DIGIBUTTER

FRANCIS!

I asked the head nerr himself what he personally wants to see in a president, and here is his response.

Quote:

Someone who wants to see the site grow and improve
who has big ideas, but is also reasonable
who takes the time to think through all aspects of problem or idea.
who works well with others
who has a good understanding of all aspects of the site and of all types of members so that nothing/noone is ignored or forgotten.

AND FROM CAPTAIN BLUE, could there be some hidden drama going on behind the scenes?

Quote:
G&W has my vote. Even though he's supposedly "new", and his platform, according to frozen's biased opinion, is "Just like all the others", I like what they're going to do.

And finally, a word from one of the major candidates, Baby Daisy!

Here is what he had to say on his current position in the elections.

Quote:
My only fear right now is the support that Cid has. Though, I believe that I have convinced many undecided voters to give me their support this past week. Hopefully the voters will make the right choice and vote for Baby Daisy/Ocelot '08

AND NOW FOR AN "RL" UPDATE!

As of 3:00 AM EST, the projected electoral votes are as follows.

McCain at 196

Obama at 318

And as always, a candidate needs 270 to win!

While Obama may be in the lead, remeber, these are only a good guess based on outside polls and other sources.

STAY TUNED VIEWERS!

WE'LL BE WITH YOU ALL NIGHT UNTIL THE FINAL TALLY!

AND NOW OUR FIRST VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATIAL INTERVIEWIAL

OCELOT!

Quote:

I just wanna say that no matter how the election turns out, I will keep an open mind towards the future president and offer any advice I can to help. I do truly care about the future of digibutter, and even if we do not succeed in our campaign, I would be extremely willing to put aside differences and hopefully work to help the President.

ANOTHER CANDIDATE INTERVIEW!

SPINY!

Quote:
Not really anything I can say except good luck to the others.

And it seems my passive campaign strategy worked.
Since I didn't sling mud, no one had any ammo to throw back at me.=P

YES, A GREAT TACTIC!

Despite the fact that I had no idea you were running until I looked at the polls.

ANYWAY!

I am going to spare you a kitten from quadruple-posting and in turn help public journalism to strive on.

God bless America.

Real Americans do not trouble with exact math.

But I digress. I shall no longer interrupt this man's quest to hear the voice of the people.

THE PROCESS CANNOT BE STOPPED BY THE MAN

KITTENS OR NOT

NOW HERE IS SOME GUY NAMED GREEN KOOPA MAN OR SOMETHING SAYING HE VOTED FOR CID!

Quote:
I voted for Cid, cuz he a pretty cool guy eh?

AND NOW GOLD BOOK MAN ALSO IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, EXCEPT I KNEW THAT THIS TIME!

Quote:
I believe that I would be able to do the job well if I was elected, but my weakness is that I'm a relative unknown on this site, despite being a member for over a year.

ALSO TOTALSPACESHIPMOI3 HAD THIS TO SAY!

Quote:
Well, it seems to be a pretty tight race, but I think Cid and Goomba will come out on top. I really don't mind who wins, as long as they do things well.

IN OTHER NEWS, I'VE SOME HOW GONE ALL DAY WITHOUT BRIBING SOMEONE YET!

WHOO!

MORE AT WHENEVER I RECEIVE MORE NEWS

THIS IS STARTING TO GET REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL WAY TOO QUICKLY

AND NOW THIS

FIRST HERE IS GREENLIGHT SAYING THIS

Quote:
There can only be one person for the job.

THANKS BUDDY

Hopefully this will clear up that whole "voting one time" thing those damn Floridians never seem to get that part right.

POISON HAS ALREADY CAST HER VOTE!

Quote:
I think Cid is a pretty cool guy. eh runs for president and doesnt afraid of anything.

AND THEN, Somewhat ironically, CID SAID SOMETHING

Quote:
I predict that it will be close- between me, Baby Daisy, and Mister I. I thank all of my supporters for their support. I will not let them down, as they are making a fine choice by voting for me: for they are voting for progress.
