is out today. from what i read, the english and euro version has a lot of changes from the jap version, some of these are:

-the tutorial, unlike the jap version which was an hour long, is now 10 min.
-several characters make cameos but remain unplayable. i wonder who...
-new moves for characters to make gameplay more balanced.
-WE GET AN ARCADE MODE SUCK IT WEEABOOS!!!!!!!!!!!
and maybe more. I'll probably get it on my bday, which is like soon.
I'm also liking the US voice better than the japanese voice. although there is one i'm a bit disappointed in. Neutral

anyone else thinking of getting it?

Considering that Terra, Bartz, Cloud, Kuja, Ultimecia, Squall, and Cecil all have terrible English voices (Either due to poor voice acting/characters not sounding their age/voices not reflecting their personalities), I don't know if I should get it or not. Then again, I don't have a PSP, so I wouldn't be able to get it, anyway.

Hearing Terra for the first time in one of the Dissidia montages soured my opinion of the game.

only agree with those. but Kuja's jp voice is worse. ulty and squall don't sound like i imagined.

i don't have a psp either but i'm thinking of buying one for my bday.

i've heard of those montages on youtube. if i watch them will it spoil anything?

How can you be alright with Terra's voice? She's, like, 18, but she sounds like a *crag* 8-year old.

As for why I dislike Bartz's voice, well, based on his personality in game, you would imagine he would sound like a cocky jokester. Instead, he sounds like your typical "unsure" anime teenager.

As for Cloud, I never liked his English voice-actor. I always imagined him sounding like some sort of tough guy; a cold-hearted badass (Like he was in FFVII).

i couldn't really hear her voice through this one video which had a *crag* music playing over the fights. and when i did hear her, she sounded fine imo.

Steve Burton is pretty bad at voice acting lol.

I wonder, is Squall's voice the same as his KH Voice? I mean, I know one great line he delivered in that series: "We may never meet again, but we'll never forget each other." I played the demo of the game. It's not so bad.

The voices of Onion Kid and Zidane are pain.

Otherwise, I'm having fun with this game. A bit tricky to get the attacks to happen, but once you get the hang of it...

I would get it if they made it for PS3. I'm not going to buy a PSP just for one game, no matter how awesome it is.

I came back just to post in this topic.

Let me just tell you that it's epic. He sounds freaking bipolar at times.

But yeah, I hate Bartz's voice. Sucks that he's been my main since the Jap release.

And the moves are messed up now. Bartz starts with Holy, something he learns in the late 30's or 40's, and gets Flood at level 18, where in the Jap release, he learns it at level 36. Some really strange stuff.

At least there's more moves.

Experience between this and the Jap one is completely different. I had less trouble with this version, maybe it's 'cause I've already managed to beat Shade Impulse in the Jap version, which isn't easy. Pretty different experience. I don't recall potions fully charging your EX bar. Then again, I can't read Japanese.

At least I have the kickass Amano cover.
