My fellow nerrs,

Once again we have come upon a time where our limits have been stretched and our patience has worn thin. It seems the enemy this time is not our long time nemesis ,spam, but this time it is a new foe, one just as deadly called drama! Drama can quickly tire a community, just because everyone gets tired of reading it all, or because it's draining to have to be concerned with so many people's issues. To keep the wave of drama and strife from flooding our lands, I have made some changes and have plans for some more:

1) Introductions forum is now only for Introductions or Returns. Goodbyes were almost always a tool to create drama. Goodbyes should now be posted in your blog since they are personal topics.

2) Clear Rules. Lord Crump and others have done a great job of developing a more complete set of rules. I will soon make a final edit of these and put them on their own page.

3) Post Flags/Filters. Drama, like spam, is not black and white. Drama is not always bad, but excessive drama is. Some people like to read drama and try to help others, while some other people do not want to see it all. So I have introduced a new "flagging" concept. Like cookies and reporting, you can now flag a post as "drama". Soon you will be able to configure what kind of posts you don't want to see, like drama or YouTube-Poop (YTP). There are other flags too like YES and NO, for agreeing or disagreeing with a post. LOL for funny posts. This should cut down on spam too.

4) Warnings - Mods can now easily issue warnings, instead of just strikes. Hopefully this will give you a chance to discuss any disagreement you have before you get punished. Also, mods can now include a reason for a strike, even if someone else reported it.

5) More Mods - Our mods are clearly getting stressed out. The duties of a moderator are not terribly difficult, but over time it can be a lot of pressure. Constantly having to keep watch over the forums and make decisions about the fate of it's members can sometimes be too much to bear. So I will start to spread it out the work load across more people and also try to make the mod duties easier:

-Welcome our newest moderators, Jr. Troopa and ShadowArticuno!
-Also, a Meow-Mod might soon start handing out strikes. Meow-Mods do not care what you think of them Twisted Evil

If we all do our part by ignoring trolls and flames and learn to give and accept constructive criticism, this place will keep getting bigger and better.

This, Francis, is why you are the most epic admin ever. Or one of 'em, at least. :D

[/asskiss]

That being said, congrats to Jr. Troopa and SA!

I know what you're thinking, Francis.

People abused the "post quality" feature, what makes you think people won't abuse the drama feature? And furthermore, what makes you think a bot would work as a mod? Users will report crap just because they dislike people, if they know the bot doesn't have the ability to judge.

Congrats to SA and Jr. Troopa! And... Meow-Mod? I think thats a bad idea. Robots are always evil, ALWAYS. THATS THE THEME OF MANY MOVIES!

But I think these features will cut down on spam, or at least, I hope. I can only wonder what other updates will be in the future... (Nametags?)

I am a pessimist by nature. I see no good in this update except for the new mods.

Even then... those two don't seem very mod-like...
