M'kay, so I get woken up by my mom walking into my room this morning, and the first thing she says is "We're going to take strawberries up to your uncle's market today. Leaving in half an hour."
Lucky me. I get to spend 2 and a half hours wasting away in the car!
You see, the place where my uncle orders his strawberries from is about 20 minutes away from where we live, and 2 hours away from his market. Therefore, he calls us to go pick them up and deliver them. And my mom gets a bit of a tip, but I get nothing. Grahhhhhhh.
So, on the way to picking up the strawberries, we stop at Tim Horton's for breakfast. WHY ARE THOSE BACON BREAKFAST SANDWICHES SO HEAVENLY
Moving right along
We arrive at the pick-up spot. My mom gets out of the car, walks up to the owner, greets him and points towards the car so she can introduce him to me. I get out of the car and say "Hi".
The first thing he says to me is "You looking for a part-time job?"
...
That would be the most unexpected thing that's happened to me in weeks.
4 hours a day, 3 days a week over the summer holidays. And a bit over minimum wage, too. My mom did rough calculations, and I'd have over $1500 by the end of summer if I took the job. So... I'm actually seriously considering it.
And the best part is... While I was at Tempast's house a few days ago, he shoved a flyer in my face which was showing off a shiny new gaming computer.
-600 GB hard drive -2 GB of DDR2 RAM -Quad-something processors (I'd be able to run ALL my games at the same time, and still have no lag)
*Nerdgasm*
Only $999, plus tax. The best part?
I have a USB keyboard and an old monitor sitting around that we don't use. And, of course, I could plug my headphones right into the back of the tower.
Which means I could have a shiny new computer, perfect for gaming, right in my room. :B
So... As much as I hate work, I'm considering aforementioned offer. Because I'd have enough for the computer of my dreams, and a crapload of games after that. And the best part... If I actually get a job, my mom will think of me as more independent and stop treating me like a 7-year old all the time. No exaggeration there.
Then we delivered the strawberries and came back home, which then resulted in me playing Shogo for a few hours. Yay for giant robots with guns.
For tl;dr people: Nothing bad happened. Shit went up.
