I really don't think a computerized moderator is a great idea...how could it possibly analyze what is and isn't breaking the rules?

When and if it's implemented, I fully expect somebody undeserving to be striked and somebody deserving not to be striked quite quickly...
Yoshi also expects some people, noone in specific, to get a strike and say the meowmod sucks because they didn't deserve it, when they clearly deserve it.

Right ooF?

Yeah, I don't see how Meowmod is going to work. How can a computer program have opinions, and good opinions at that? I can see it making sure nobody censor bypasses, and possibly be able to strike a blank or way too short post in GD, but classifying something as spam or not, or insult vs. joke really can't be done with today's Artificial Intelligence, most humans can't even do it right.

Or people striking each other just because they hate the users. Like the stupid OT vs. RPOT thing. :/

But I do give Francis props for at least putting his time and effort into little things like this. Don't hate, appreciate. O:<

Computerized mods always seem to do stuff like this.

Quote:
Hi! I am a shoal!

Computers typical will read that as 1 long word, and poor shoal will be banned for gastric bypass...Erm,censor bypass, even if hi name is shoal.

Although, it won't be able to replace mods, because from my knowledge, it'd be impossible to program a machine to differentiate certain things.

Ok i have an idea. What if when the Meow Mod found something that could be rule breaking it would post a topic about it in a special forum. Then the users could go and decide if what was done deserves the punishment. And if enough people agree (by using a poll) the meow mod would issue the punishment
