What is that?

Having said that it is obvious that I do not have one, or at least, I'm not aware that I have one, and therefor, it would be convenient if you might tell me

1. What is is.
2. How I might obtain one.
3. Does it cost anything.
4. How do you communicate with people on such a thing.

MSN is a service like AIM that allows someone to save a list of contacts/friends and talk with them via exchange of instant messages/live chatting.

To get MSN, search 'Download Windows Live Messenger' (it's the same thing as MSN) on Google and take an appropriate link, most likely the very first you get from the search.

You can get a free download of it.

You communicate on it by adding other people who have MSN to your list of 'contacts'. To do this you must enter their MSN account handle, which can be found in some Digibutter members' profiles under their Accounts list. Then you can just double-click on the names of any online contacts to start talking with them.
