On my UNEXPECTED VACATION (which was unexpectedly short, because everyone was bored at my cousin's house. See, they're jocks, and we're a familly of Nerds. We had no fun.) There was a storm that came. My mom was out at the University of Minnesota with my sister, and the storm was getting really bad. I had my cousin on the computer playing Toast of War when the heavy rain started, and BLAMO! I ran into their basement I hid. Yeah, I have a phobeia of heavy storms. You know what got worse? The rain started getting terrible, my cousin had to turn off the computer, and one cousin said "DUDE! Get down here! It's green outside!" They were talking to the cousins who AREN'T little pantsies like me. I was already curled up in a ball. Then, they said "DUDE! IT'S RAINING BRANCHES!" And indeed it was. I was surprised the power hadn't gone out yet, and it never did. Either way, I KNOW I'm safe when I have a proper basement. Why was I scared? My cousins only had a half basement with LOTTSA WINDOWS. They cleaned some area out of the closet, put a chair in there, gave me a portable dvd player, and stuffed me in there. :3 I felt much safer, and I became completely oblivious to the tornado thanks to the movie, and eeeeverything turned out alright. Mostly... See, half the branches in the neighbourhood fell down, and afew trees fell down. Now note, I went through all that without my Mom calming me down. It was just me, my sister, and my cousins.
But the next day, I spent all day on the 8 hours back home playing Professor Layton and the curious village. =D |
