Vista by far. Mostly because most of the XP viruses that are in high tide now are ineffective to Vista, even without a decent anti-virus.
Also, because it's shiny. *-* |

Depends on what you like.
I'm used to Vista now, so, I guess I like it better. XP is still good, though. If I had to downgrade, I wouldn't feel happy or ticked off. |

I'm probably the only one who has XP and Vista installed on 1 computer. Vista looks beautiful, but its looks are decieving. It's a lie, and a downgrade. There is nothing better about it then XP except its video maker, which I find better then XPs. But that's it. Everything else is terrible. XP FTW. |

When I got my new hardware, I had to reformat. I had Vista at the time and am now of XP. The things I liked about Vista that I miss: The descriptions of t he programs in Task Manager, Windows actually close when you hit "End Now" and its general shininess. The things I hated were the whole "Run as administrator" thing, which had to be enabled every time you installed something. I also found menus very hard to navigate though compared to XP. Vista is more for the average user who checks their emails, watches youtube videos, and plays solitaire. XP is far better for gaming (It takes up less CPU power and Graphical power) and is generally more stable and better for Nerrs. |

Absolutely correct. And I don't believe the crap-bucket commercials for the so-called "Windows Mojave" being just Vista. Vista is a lie, and it almost always will be. They released it before it was ready, and as a result, half the stuff won't work.
On the other hand, DX10 sounds like it would be epic. I have DX9, but the card's hardware only goes up to DX8, which may be why I can't get the rippling effect that I see in nearly every YouTube Portal video.
(I just realized that "YouTube Portal" can be contracted to YTP. Does that mean that YouTube Poops are lies?)
At least Portal: Prelude is DX9 compatible.
And Vista is complete crap no matter how you look at it, except in an alternate universe. In an alternate universe, Vista may not be a lie. But in this universe, it is. Maybe a bigger lie than the cake-- *shot by a Turret* |
