Homophobia
Transphobia
Genderphobia
for some reason people fear what they don't understand, instead of trying to understand who or what a person is. they fear it. this fear of the unknown manifests itself in hate. you begin to hate your neighbor for being fundamentally different then you are.
today I was a victim of Transphobia. I wont get into too much detail here, but to feel that kind of hatred against you. is...overwhelming. to be hated for who you are, to be treated as a sub-human because you don't compute with the common gender roles, or sexual normalcy. to be ignored in such a fashion.. its something I really hate to see and doubly hate to feel.
What are your views on these Phobias. and the Discrimination that GLBTQ's must endure? |
