The thorns didn't bother it much. Thresher Demons are known for being tough, and nigh impossible to control.

Nature decided to borrow under ground and attack the plants by the roots.

The creature's tremor sense allowed it to sense the burrowing creature, and it immediately reached through the hole to grab Nature.

[Lord Vaati]

It would end up grabbing a tree summoned by Natrure.

[Spell Seal]

Which it promptly ripped to shreds. It continued after Nature.

[Lord Vaati]

Nature leaped out of the hole barely avoiding the vines.

"Lets see if they can get the same problem from being watered too much." Said Nature as he summoned a rain cloud that began to rain water into the hole that led to the roots.

(Over watering certain plants can cause root rot.)

But, the two that didn't reach in after him attacked. No amount of water could do damage to it. The roots were simply meant to anchor it to the ground.

There was also the fact that soil becomes softer with too much water.

Nature decided to try something and once he landed he rooted himself to the ground.

Once rooted he began to speak to the plant.

"Why is it that you prevent me from passing?" Nature asked the vines.

It didn't speak Sylvan. It spoke Abyssal. The tunnel Nature had dug collapsed, and the creatures mouth was revealed.

"Seems its kinda like me but with a few major differences." Nature thought to himself.

It attempted to grab Nature with its, now longer, vines.

[Lord Vaati]

Nature summoned a another rain cloud one to increase his size to both match the vines size and escap0e their grasp.

Once his size was good enough he tried to uproot the vines.

[Spell Seal]

Going that close to its mouth was pretty much suicide. It immediately reached for his arms, striking with incredible speed.

[Lord Vaati]

Nature despite the fact that he could be turned to mulch from low defense he kept trying to uproot it while his body continued to regenerate any body parts he lost.

It wasn't trying to tear off limbs. It was trying to pull Nature in.
