Lore: Karim was born 100 years after Ganondorf Dragmire was born. It has been 60-70 years since Ganondorf's time, and the King of Evil is no more than a near-forgotten myth. Karim is the king by custom, but doesn't seem to have the same lust for power his predecessor had. He prefers to simply do what he wants and not force anything. He left the desert to explore the world beyond it, but still returns each night, as the desert is his home.
