Originally I was thinking that you would be like a Pokemon Trainer... safe while you give commands to your fighters that are on the battlefield.
But what if *you* were actually in the battle too? You would be like the Construction Yard of Command & Conquer, or the HQ in Advance Wars, or the King in Chess. Your fighters are there to protect you and to kill the other player. The goal is to take out the other player, not their fighters.
The you have your own stats, and you could even interact with your fighters. Like during battle, you could move next to a fighter and use a Life-Shroom on him, or, you could attack the enemy if you feel daring (or strong) enough. |

If all of this is gonna be true, and if we are gonna need sprites, then we'll have to gather all the spriters on the site. Thank god for my group....Even still, it is gonna be a big project. |

You would BE a fighter, so you would create a sprite for yourself just like you do for the fighters. This sprite could be used in other areas of the site too *cough* Fort Francis *cough* |

Wait, how many fighters can we have?
I, personally, was going to have Slim, Digipixl, and some androids. |

These are going to be team battles, no? As in, everyone on the field fills a specific role in battle? Perhaps just having one fighter per person is enough... it'd certainly be easier to balance, but building up a nice little team of battlers would be more fun and worth the effort. |

I was thinking it would just be one-on-one at first, and you control your own team of fighters. Then I will expand to 2v2 battles, and co-op battles where a single player controls one fighter on a large team.
The problem is that the more players you have, the longer the game goes because you have to wait for each player to finish their turn. |

I'm sure we could come up with a good turn system for larger battles. It'd be worth it; the larger and longer the battles are, the more epic they are. |
