As if against a raging gale, Kiku, cleavers in hand, pushed towards Paxton, digging her feet into the ground with every step.

*Mezmerane finally rose from the shadows, seemingly unaffected by the time slow and the sword resting on his shoulder. He was snickering in a passive manner.*

[Ferus Astrum]

"I believe these mortals have a saying...'Save the best for last'...is it not?" said the sorcerer, slowly moving towards Paxton. His speed was considerably reduced, but he still could fight.

"Maybe it's time your learned a lesson, mortal. I'll show you this! The laws of the Universe mean nothing!" he cried, gathering a swriling white orb in his hand.

2) Neo Almagest, a blow of pure holy energy.

Time seemed to stop altogether for a small moment before Paxton screamed in agony. All at once, the effects of the spell he had used seemed to shatter, giving everything in sight the appearance of a cracked mirror before the sound of an ear-splitting shatter could be heard. Paxton was sent skidding along the ground like a pebble before slamming into a rock.

Game over, fool. Nice try with the Chronomancy and all.

Shiro had picked himself up off the ground and walked over to Paxton, seemingly unfazed by the brief moment of reality screwing.

[Ferus Astrum]

The minion, a massive eye, was completely dissipated by the effect of the spell. The sorcerer, had two of his tentacles severed, and an impressive gash in his left shoulder. It didn't really show as much, seeing how he wasn't much more than a dark mist.

"Impressive, for a mortal. Maybe I'll spare you death." he said, chaining [roll=4] of Paxton's limbs with a dark flame.

[Lord Vaati]

Demonic Vaati was hurt but did not seem to care as he began approaching Paxton.

[Dr. Gregory House]

Laharl laughed in the way only he could. He stood back and waited to steal the killing blow...or drag his soul down to the Netherworld and make him his servant.

[Spiny]

*Mezmerane and Laharl were on a similar page, apparently, considering he was watching Paxton like a hyena, and laughing like one too.
The deity's sword morphed into a more reasonably sized scythe. The blade was jagged and had a dark green tint to it.*

[Plastic Mario]

"Beautiful." Small skin-coloured shards littered the ground after the spell shattered, along with sparks and traces of blood.

Kiku jumped at the chained Paxton, swinging both cleavers downward. She was determined to get the final strike, as sweet blood would be enough of a reward.

[Ferus Astrum]

"Not too fast. I want to torture this human. Make him beg for death."

[Spiny]

*At that moment, he threw his scythe, which flew through the air like a buzzsaw, also determined to land the final blow.
It's also worth mentioning that he didn't care who the hell was in the way.*

[Black Yoshi]

Shiro reared back to strike, but at that moment, a powerful pulse of energy emanated from the ground where Paxton was standing upon activating his previous spell. Any who were lunging at Paxton would hae their final attack diverted by the pulse, which would send them crashing to the ground prematurely. The green pixellated ground seemed to brown as a sphere of dark energy rose from the spot.

What is this?

Almost as if answering the Envoy, a sudden quake shook the area, knocking Shiro - and likely everyone else - to his feet. The orb then settled back into the ground, and the entire landscape surrounding the assembled crowd seemed to change. The pixel grass, dirt, and even the sky itself began to twist into bizarre color, and a sickening laugh boomed thoughout the area.

In Abbadon's name, who is responsible for this?!

Once again, Shiro was answered by a voice that seemed to come from all around.

So much wrath... so much anguish... so much sorrow. Yes, this is perfect. And I already have such a loyal following gathered to welcome me...

You didn't answer me. Show yourself, coward!

In a split second, a massive pixellated spike had burst fourth from the ground, violently impaling Shiro though the chest. The Envoy's face went alive with panic for a moment before he paled, and his face went expressionless. The spike retracted, allowing Shiro's limp form to fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Couldn't have him challenging the chain of command now, could I? All of you, show some respect. I am your new master.

((And so the real plot begins. ))

[Macha]

...now what have we here?

She hovers closer, landing a few yards behind Paxton.

"Show yourself, whoever you are!"

*His scythe was embedded in one of his claws.
He pulled it out without flinching as the wound healed in a matter of seconds.
Mezmerane leered about as he answered the voice.*
I am discord itself. I shall not be a dog to anyone, mortal nor deity.

Laharl was hungry, so he left to go eat some candy. Therefore, he was spared from being painfully impaled and tormented.
