Mods that are considerably closer to adminship, would be better, really.

...I think another Admin would be good, as Popple said...
...Franis isn't supplying us with regularity...
...He is an excellent programmer, and Admin too, but he just isn't on...
...Maybe it's becuase he is working on stuff for us...
...or not...
...and that okay too; He is allowed to have a life...
...But if he doesn't want to be on 24/7, someone really should...
...Goomba :D...

People who keep saying this really need to learn to stop talking.

Admin doesn't mean you run the *crag* site and can take it down at a moments notice and completely *crag* up everything on a whim.

Admins don't have complete power.

That's why they are ADMINISTRATORS and not CO-OWNERS

I know that. But we really don't have anyone that would make a good admin, as is. And Francis doesn't plan on making a new admin anytime soon, so why not just increase mod powers so that they're closer to admin levels?

Because that is what a *crag* Admin is in the first place.

What part of "closer" do you not understand?

Not President; that was just a gimmick to coincide with the real-world election. More like advisor to Francis, as I'm nothing more than a member who can view the Command Center.

The part where you don't seem to *crag* understand the concept of what an admin is.

The mods need the power to temporarily ban and punish members, without the limitations of a flawed court system.

Those added powers wouldn't make them closer to admins, but closer to mods.

You know, adding a new admin would be useless if he/she didn't know how to code.
And I'm not sure all the mods know how to code stuff.
Just putting that out there.
But yeah, I agree with more power to the mods.

You don't need to know how to code to edit forums, ban members, post announcements, and edit user permissions. There's usually an administrator interface that allows the admin to do all of those things and more.

If you want all the fancy schmancy features, yeah, that's where the coding comes in, but that's not the reason why most people are calling for a new admin.

While that is true, the original post did mention minor changes.
Which suggests slightly new features.
Which means coding.

I took the "minor shit" as meaning administrative duties. I don't see how new features would be "minor shit." Also, let's look at it this way: how many new features do we need? Do we need new features daily? And aren't alot of the new features we're asking for (Clans, an improved battle system, etc.) already done elsewhere? If that's the case, those unfamiliar with coding could just base their ideas on what another admin elsewhere did (But they probably wouldn't have to, seeing that new features should be a once in a while thing, anyway.).

Even our site events don't appear to take a large amount of coding knowledge, and seem as though they can be done by anyone familiar with forum administration.

Let me give you a new feature we should have. In fact, there's no reason not to have it.
A real IRC chat.
I found a site that lets you set one up for free.

I brought that up in the Command Center when you asked me to. It got a few replies, but Francis never paid attention to it. Not that I have strong feelings about it either way, that is; just letting you know what the feedback was.
