Regarding catching them all, three words. Global Trade Station.
Also, they at least had the 10th anniversary thing where they gave it away. Based on what I think, they're remaking this for the sole purpose of making all 4 generations interactable, hence why there will be no advanced version. Also, as with FR/LG having the Deoxys event, there will probably be some non-johto related events.
And I still don't get why you would even think that they'd take out johto. They already made FR/LG, but when G/S/C was made, R/B/Y was already made, but that was no reason to exclude it. |

Last time I checked, they didn't. 10 ANIV, and there is one other I went to, but I don't remember the name of it. Then I'm pretty sure they had one more. All I know is that I have 2 legit Celebi, both from events.
Then, (and I'm going purely on memory here) can't you do some special thing once you best Pokémon XD, and you can get Celebi form it?
Anyway, Celebi is obtainable without cheats.

Of course I thought of that, but you just said catching them all. If you mean FAIRLY however, it's hard but possible. I don't think anyone has really noticed this, but they took off the "Gotta Catch 'Em All!" slogan off the boxes a while ago. I WONDER WHY. |

In Japan, yeah.
I did some research myself, and I have NOT found ANY US event that gave away Celebi. All I found was the Deoxy, Lati@s, Mew, Lugia/Ho-Oh, and the Darkrai event for the US.
And you got it wrong, first, it was Pokemon Colleseum that gave away Celebi, and second, it was Japan only. The US one gave away Jirachi I THINK.
Anyways this is off topic. To get back on topic...

Then again, they did officially name the girl character in FR/LG Leaf, so it only makes sense. |

I've looked al over for new info, and I haven't seen one person who likes her. I think it's just fan speculation, following that fact that the female in FR/LG was name Leaf.
And also, I remember very distinctly the 10th Anniversary party at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA. They had to 20 (?) top-ranked Pokémon, and they had a stand for Celebi. And if you would like, I can go check to OT, which I'm pretty sure is 10 ANNIV. Anyway, I remember distinctly asking them why they had Celebi in addition to the 20 (?) top-ranked Pokémon, and the person giving the Celebi said "'Cause right now, Celebi is the only Pokémon that is impossible to get without using a thing for cheats, but after today, you can get every Pokémon."

Yeah, this looks promising. Hope they consider keeping the old school Pokemon. I got the Gold version for GBC and that game was the best Pokemon ever. |
