I've never been into the Metroid series very much, but this looks good. I think the trailer seemed a little bit like it was for an over-the-top action flick, but I digress. xD

Considering this is the people who made Ninja Gaiden, it's not too suprising.

So thats why Samus seems so *crag* flexible in the trailer

its being made by Team NINJA

Bad joke I know.

This is also the same team who made:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 - PS3 (2009)
Ninja Gaiden 2 - Xbox 360 (2008)
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword - Nintendo DS (2008)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma - PS3 (2007)
Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 - Xbox 360 (2006)
Dead or Alive 4 - Xbox 360 (2005)
Ninja Gaiden Black - Xbox (2005)
Dead or Alive Ultimate - Xbox (2004)
Ninja Gaiden - Xbox (2004)
Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball - Xbox (2003)
Dead or Alive 3 - Xbox (2001)
Dead or Alive 2 - Arcade, Dreamcast, PlayStation 2 (2000)
Dead or Alive - Arcade, Saturn, PlayStation (1996)

Oh hey, I never knew that.

Who would have thought that all those widely popular ninja games and fighting games and pornsports games were from the same guys that are making this game?

I thought Samus' parents died when she was, like, 5 ?

Ripped apart by Ridley in front of her eyes.

EDIT: What the hell is THAT

SON OF EDIT: Okay, now I've watched it. Know what ?

I call clone. Metroid means "Ultimate Warrior", the game is called "Other M" and that girl... Well, there appear to be two Samuses.
It may just be a Gaiden Game, though, exploring her history.

It doesn't feel like Metroid though, more like... I dunno, House of the Dead or SSBB or MUGEN. I don't see much powerups or typical Metroid stuff. Except Adam Malkovich, and he's comin' from Fusion. (So yeah, it's before Fusion. I cann dibs on seeing him die.)

The first two minutes I thought "Wait, is this a Final Fantasy trailer ? Looks like it." The graphics change a lot through the trailer, so I'm unsure what to think of them.

Generally... Well, even though I fall into They Changed It Now It Sucks, I think abandoning / mutating the old gameplay formula of Metroid seems to have been done.

Wait, no. It's not a First Person Adventure this time, it seems to be "oldschool" two and a half D gameplay, but I dunno - I loved being behind the visor in the console games.

Sceptic. Wondering if Samus has been infected by Casual corruption. Hopeful, though, that it will be awesome. Must get good Metroid game, else all faith is gone.

Also, 2010. They'd better shell out some quality by then.

GRANDON OF EDIT: Well, seeing as Retro Studios managed to make it into first person and awesome, I'll give this the benefit of doubt. It might be AWESOME. Or jut meh. We'll see.

You got your Ninja Gaiden in my Metroid.

GREAT-GRANDSOM OF EDIT:

But what we're hoping to create is a Samus now that not just fans of Metroid will appreciate, but everyone who is experiencing the game. So I'm hoping that everyone looks forward to exploring that Metroid world and experiencing Samus as a character.

IT IS CASUAL CORRUPTION AFTER ALL. VENT YOUR WALLETS !
