From what I know, they're attacks that spike the opponent straight downwards at great speed when they hit. |

And also, the one being hit cannot recover from it. You'll notice it a lot in Melee when you are hit and can't do anything but fall and change direction slightly. |

In Melee you got "Meteor Mystic" for falling, taking an opponent with you, and killing the opponent while not dying. A similiar one is for killing an opponent but still dying. |
