*Kooplen goes over to magikoopa #42*
Kooplen: WAKE UP MAGGOT!
*magikoopa #42 suddenly jumps up and salutes*
42: SIR SORRY SIR! I'LL NEVER DOZE OFF IN FORMATION AGAIN SIR!
Kooplwn: You weren't in formation. You fell out of the sky and landed on one of the goombas while we were in the middle of a battle!
*magikoopa #42 looks down at the unconscious goomba*
42: Uh, sorry?
Kooplen: Sorry doesn't cut it! How did you do in the Glitzpit?
42: I haven't even gotten to compete yet.
Kooplen: Do you have any idea why I decided to send you there? It was for combat practice. If you can't survive there, then you have no right to be a part of my squad. Now... MOVE IT!!! *zaps magikoopa #42 with his wand*
*magikoopa #42 disappears in a flash of light*
Kooplen: Why'd I have to get stuck with that worthless excuse for a koopa?

*Bumerang is leaning against the wall of her post, polishing her boomerang*

Some Koopatrol: Hey! Quit slacking off!

Bumerang: Ah, shut your trap. You know that I can outfight over half the men here. Besides, it's not like I see YOU guarding anything.

Koopatrol: I...well...I will not tolerate being talked to as such! I am your captain! Drop and give me twenty!

Bumerang: You're not my captain. You lead squad 4T. I'm in squad 2X...which, if you would note, is higher ranking than your squad. So, how about you drop and give me twenty?

Koopatrol: ...*Flees*

Bumerang: Typical...

[Marker Magikoopa]

*Kooplen is over seeing the repairs to the castle when he is rammed by a fleeing Koopatrol*
Kooplen: Why you little...
Koopatrol: Sorry about tha... Wait a minute, you are the captain of squad 7N right?
Kooplen: Yeah.
Koopatrol: Well then I have no reason to be sorry, you captain of a lowwer ranking squad. You shouldn't even be worthy of...
*Kooplen points his wand at the koopatrol's face*
Kooplen: You actually think the names of our squads mean anything about rank?
*Kooplen's wand begins to glow with a red aura centered on the tip of it*
Koopatrol: EEP!
Kooplen: I only have to answer to two people. Bowser and Kammy. You got that?
Koopatrol: Yes sir!
*Kooplen's wand stops glowing as he pulls it away from the scared Koopatrol*
Kooplen: Now get back to your squad before I decide to turn you into a mushroom or something.
Koopatrol: ...*flees*
Kooplen: The dumbest koopas always seem to be wearing that armor.... Maybe it's just from overuse of that spiked helmet.

[Fancy Wario]

Bumerang: Ugh...this is the most boring assignment ever...I feel sorry for those Koopas who have to do this every day...

*A messenger Paratroopa walks up to her and says something*

Bumerang: ...Uh-huh. ...Yeah. ...I'll get right to it.

*The Paratroopa flies off*

*Bumerang turns to the fleeing Koopatrol and sends her boomerang at him. It masterfully knocks him over. Bumerang walks over to him*

Bumerang: I just got an urgent mission. You'll be filling in for my post. Got it?

Koopatrol: Uh...y-yes.

Bumerang: Good.

*Bumerang walks to the squad 2X room. Six Koopatrols, three Hammer Bros., two Fire Bros., and one Lakitu are already assembled there*

Lakitough (squad leader): Good, you got the message. So, let's move out.

[Fancy Wario]

*Squad 2X returns*

Bumerang: Well, that was a complete waste of time.

Lakitough: Whatever. I'm just glad that we didn't really have to do anything...I haven't had sleep in days, so I'd probably be less than ideal for a situation that called for action.

Bumerang: What, your girlfriend came to visit the castle?

Lakitough: Yeah...

Bumerang: I still can't see what she sees in you.

Lakitough: That's what all the girls say.

[Marker Magikoopa]

*Koopa Squad 7N finishes repairs to the castle*

Kooplen: Good work men. You may return to your previous duties.

Squad 7N: SIR THANK YOU SIR!

*4 of the koopa troopas go back to guard duty, the 3 goombas go to the barracks, and everyone else goes to various other places*

Goomba 1(from now on known as Goony): That was a tough battle earlier.

Goomba 2(from now on known as Greg): That's true. *goes over to the trunk next to his bed and opens it*

*a small, brown, baby yoshi pops out of the trunk*

Greg: Did you miss me Goshi? Who's my good little girl?

Goshi: Yoshi!

Greg: That's right! YOU'RE my good little girl!

Goomba 3(from now on known as Gobi): Why do you even keep her? We aren't allowed to have pets.

Greg: We aren't allowed to be in a koopa squad either aren't we?

Gobi: I got us into here by claiming it was racist to not let us in this squad. There isn't anything racist about not letting us keep that thing.

Goony: And your pet is getting harder and harder to feed. Remember that time it tried to eat 42?

Gobi: I remember that. He was so pathetic then. *puts on a pair of lead boots* Well, I've got some training to do *leaves*

*the two remaining goombas commence taking care of the baby yoshi*

*Gobi arrives at the training grounds in the castle and finds an available punching bag. He jumps into the air, flips in midair and slams his lead shoe onto the bag, tearing it loose from the chain holding it up. He sticks his foot underneath it and tosses the bag up into the air. He crouches, then jumps. He spins in midair and manages to do something like an uppercut with his left foot. His lead shoe sends the bag into the air. As the bag is falling, Gobi stretches his leg back into the air behind him, making sure to balance on his other foot skillfully. The bag comes closer to the ground. Gobi jumps up and roundhouse kicks the punching bag. The punching bag is sent flying over the training ground's walls and into the distance.*

Gobi: I guess I'll have to go bring it back... *runs after the punching bag rather fast for a goomba (even for one who wasn't wearing lead boots)*

[Fancy Wario]

*Bumerang watches him*

Bumerang: Hm...the Goombas are more skilled than they look.

*Another messenger Paratroopa appears and gives her a message*

Bumerang: ...Well, can't say I'm surprised...better break the news to Lakitough.

*Bumerang heads for the squad 2X room, but she stops when she hears Lakitough conversing with someone in there*

Lakitough: ...I've rigged the squad 1B room, as you requested.

Someone: Good job. If she is allowed to run free for too long, it could be a severe detriment to my plans...

*A look of shock goes across Bumerang's face*

Bumerang: (Squad 1B? That's the squad I've been promoted to...and I'm the only girl in it...)

Lakitough: Yeah. So, how are your plans going, anyway?

Someone: Well, I've gotten close to Grubba now. He should be easily disposed of once I've gotten what I need from him...well, I've gotta go. I'll see you later.

Lakitough: Yeah. Bye.

*Bumerang enters the room*

Lakitough: Oh, Bumerang...did you hear any of that.

*Bumerang lies and says no, plastering a smile across her face*

Bumerang: Guess what? I've been promoted to squad 1B!

Lakitough: Oh, really? That's great news!

Bumerang: (What's going on here? ...)

[Fancy Wario]

Lakitough: ...Well, that should do...my letter of resignation.

*Lakitough leaves it on Bowser's throne*

Lakitough: Well...so long, Koopa Troop.

*Lakitough flies away on his Jugem's Cloud*

*Meanwhile*

*Bumerang hesitantly enters the room for squad 1B*

Bumerang: Um...hello?

*There's nobody there*

Bumerang: Uh...

[Pure-???]

*MM appears outside*
MM: huh, where am I?

*Lakitough sees MM*

Lakitough: ...Who're you? Are you some new recruit?

Lakitough: Yeah...so am I...though not in the same way as you, I'm guessing. That castle over there? That's Bowser's Castle, the base of operations of the Koopa Troop. I just sent in my letter of resignation just now...
