This Spell idea that has been tossed around for a while REALLY needs to be done. With all the ideas for status problems comes things like electrified, muted, and scarecrowed. Those involve MP, but if you are restricted to using only the Lens of Truth or are electrified for using anything but the Lens of Truth, it's not a very useful status effect or an unfair status effect, depending on the effect.

We NEED Spells. Even if they're simple ones like Fire-3 or Thunder-2 or something unoriginal like that. Or if we have spells taken straight out of Super Mario RPG.

And if we don't get spells, we need to at least have some more MP-using items besides Lens of Truth.

How about items that teach skills and spells?

Skill/Spell Scroll
This type of item would be used for teaching a character a skill or spell. The skill/spell would function similarly to an item, but it would be unable to be bought/sold (the only way to get it would be with a skill scroll). Skills would normally have wait times between uses while spells would have MP costs. Skills and spells might need to be kept seperate from items though. There will probably need to be a limit to the number of them that a user could have at one time (and they would be able to forget old ones).

Here's a few examples of skills/spells that could be made.
Slap
Does 1 damage to target
Wait time: 1 hour

Coin Throw
Throw your money at the target to do 1 damage for every coin
Wait time: 5 minutes

Fireball (This one would be special in that it would be gained from a status effect I mentioned in the feedback forum instead of a spell scroll)
Does 5 damage and has a 5% chance of inflicting the target with burn
MP cost: 2

Curse
Inflict the target with a random status effect
MP cost: 4

S'Crow Funk
Inflict target with scarecrow status (25% chance)
MP cost: 2

We could also have kickass spells like Meteor Swarm and Sword Rain that use a lot of MP... wait, there should be someway to increase your max MP.
