Gear... that post got a point across that you believe to be true, sure. But it might not have been done in the most tasteful of ways.  You could simply say that Petey seems to contain a higher level of sensitivty than the general populace to messages with suggestively negative content... or simply inform me privately through a PM. Your post wasn't a flame per sé, but if you feel that there is perhaps even the slightest chance that it might end up hurting another member, then by making that post, you've undergone the transition for honest mistake to flaming in a minor degree.
That's just my take on it, though. o_o |

To summarize somewhat, the main point that I had hidden in that load of bombastic waffle was:
If you have even the smallest feeling that a post you're about to make would hurt another user, then posting that message becomes an act of flaming, big or small. So if you made that post without knowing that Petey might take some amount of offense from it, you weren't at fault in any way. Otherwise, yes, you are guilty of light flaming - or flame incite - in that case. |

We all know Francis is the one who makes the most major executive decisions, including composition of the site's staff. As Plastic said, it's not really a problem for people to express interest in becoming a Moderator, as long as it doesn't become blatant begging. |

I believe it should be up to Francis only to chose who is the mod by him watching us. He should chose those only that are deamed worthy enough of the responsiblility. Nominations are too biased.
