Confusing and nonsensical. They are also slightly disturbing.
An ugly, decrepit... homosexual zombie... is hardly appealing in any way. Zombies are not appealing.
Perhaps if we dropped the idea of people coming back from the dead somehow, it'd be a little bit more like a real story... instead of a "omg gay zombies" kind of thing.
