But it would need some limits to how it could be done.

1. It should cost money to do so. It would cost 5 coins at the very least.
2. It should require that all copies of the item be gotten rid of through either being used up, or discarded. Maybe everyone holding the item would be given a message that the item is going to be edited on a certain date (maybe a week from when the decision to edit the item is made), and if they still have the item when the date is reached, it'll disappear from their inventory.

But if you are deleting an item from your shop inventory, it wouldn't be fair to have to pay to lose money. o.O

Thinking about it, you're losing money to begin with.

Maybe, if you delete an item or modify it, all items disappear, BUT you get your money back from it. It's not fair if somebody buys something and loses it outside their power.

Alternately the system could just auto-trade-in the item for the newer version.

Editing is messy...
What if you just dump your item (those who bought one would still have it). And then you can recreate it. You could even offer to exchange the old item for the new one.

That sounds alright, I guess. A little expensive on the Coinage side, but it at least sounds possible.

Well, can you make a way to remove items from store inventory? I want to get rid of the Plastic Mario item.
