Yeah, I saw this on Joystiq. apparently, sony has made another item that copys wii, where you place two motion sensors, and the gun itselfs has motion sensors. as you can see by the pic, you have to hold it, in such a wierd way. like one of those seed things, where you hold the handle, and your hand holds the real. sense they would get uber flamed if they had a nunchuck, everything is on the controller. as you can see on the pic the guy is holding some wierd thing with his left hand, and studies verified that that is where the buttons are.. and if you can see, at the butt of the gun, there is a joystiq as well. kinda wierd...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heres what joystiq says:
With traditional light guns firing nothing but unhelpful blanks at our fancy LCD and plasma televisions, there was some question as to how the PlayStation 3's Guncon would function with the upcoming Time Crisis 4. An article on Japanese site Game Watch (which now appears to have been removed) provided the details, since documented and translated by Game|Life's Chris Kohler.

Much like the Wiimote (as used by Sega's light gun game, Ghost Squad), the Guncon 3 relies on two markers placed on either side of the television. A sensor inside the gun's muzzle detects the markers and automagically figures out where it's being pointed. The controller also features six buttons and a second analog stick placed on an awkward "subgrip" that you're meant to hold with your left hand. The original article points out that while Japan gets a black gun, America and Europe will have to make do with a charming orange model, as seen above (in the company of the world's mangiest jacket)..

DS-to-Wii connectivity vs. PSP-to-PS3 (or PS2 if you have that Jak X racing)

Wii Remote vs. Wireless Controller with tilt function

Backwards compatability...actually, that didn't count. Wii plays all sorts of games, mainly GCN and Wii, whilst PS2 could also do PS1.

That's the new Guncon gun.
It's just updating to have the motion sensors because the old ones used the "flicker flash" type hitting system, which doesn't work on HD tvs.

Plus, Sony doesn't even make the Guncon, NAMCO does.
It was originally on the PS1 for Time Crisis.

Sony has had light guns before you know...

Also I don't see how motion sensing is stealing. No one owns motion sensing.

Fanboys...

No...you are saying Sony stole this technology when they didn't.

Also I expect people to realize it is stupid to hate a company.

It seems to M'aiq that they used the basic design of one of Nintendo's concepts. And it does indeed look like a nunchuck is stuck to the side.

It looks nifty, but also looks not at all original.

What about the things the company does and the things that the people representing it say? Those things would be similar to hating what a person does or says, so how would hating a company be different from hating a person?
