Shadow walked into the fight holding a cup of coffee.
"Sorry 'bout that. I needed a lunch break."
He finished his coffee, and then threw the cup in the trash can. Afterwhich, he jumped back into the arena and continued flailing around shooting Chaos Spears. |

Though Kong was able to knock Shadow away, he could not stop his head from making direct contact with the Falcon Flier. Kong kept drilling through the hull of the ship, constantly making awful screaming noises until...

Shadow's eye stopped hurting and he was allowed to reaturn to the fight. He looked up, saw Donkey Kong heading straight for him.
"OSHI-" and then there was an explosion from the racer they were on. Shadow flew up and out of bounds, losing another one of his lives. |

Kong, extremely fortunately, was able to keep his hand on the edge of the final racer in the group. However, when he tried to move on it, painful electric currents flowed through his body. Kong was forced to hold onto the car, hanging for dear second life, getting a faceburn from the 700 MPH-moving road every millisecond. |

Shadow had just respawned, and noticed the ape in an a very extreme amount of pain. Shadow couldn't stand to see him in pain, but knew the only way to help him from that pain was for him to respawn from the healing platform, thus losing a life in the process.
So, basically, Shadow made DK let go of the racer to save him anymore unnecessary pain. |

Of course, it's not like Donkey Kong knows the difference between helping and hurting. He latched onto Shadow's leg with his last strength, screaming, "DK..NOT...LOSE!". Then, he lost consciousness as something in his neck began to snap. |

But DK just wouldn't go down. The animal, somehow grappled onto the back of the final F-Zero racer completely unconscious. It was awful: DK's head was twisted, his fur was nearly burnt off, and his feet were...icky, to say the least. And yet, he kept grappling onto the platform, dying. What was even worse that his hand, still electrified, was seeping into the racer he was grappling on. The entire car was melting at an extremely quick pace, and was totally electrified. It...was...ugly.... |
