Jr. nodded. He had to admit, being deaf had sucked...but had its upsides, as well. Mainly the pro that, being deaf, he couldn't hear anyone- no rules, no punishments, no screaming, and no jabbering.
He grinned eagerly as they went to take off. "Not to sound like that lame-o Mario or anything- but let's go!"

~Hours later, high above Stardust Fields~

Morton tapped Junior on the shoulder, getting his attention from the (strangely enough) loud radio.

"We're just above Stardust Fields, very close to Beanbean's borders. Where was that nerdy old koot living?"

Jr. looked up from where he had been staring at the passing scenery, idly circling one claw on the rim of the Koopa Kruiser and listening peacefully to K. Radio.
"Huh?" He jumped a bit and turned the volume down. "Oh, sorry 'bout that. I, uh, love that song. ...Oh, the Gadd guy? Um, I know his coffee shop or whatever's in Beanbean Castle Town...He has to live pretty close by, right?"

Morton could not help but grimace. They had to go into the Beanbean capital... While not as bad as the Mushroom Kingdom, any ally of the Mario Brothers (in this case, the prince of Beanbean) would probably try to stop them before they even got a chance.

The Koopaling then grinned as he pulled out a small ragged map. It was a detailed map of the Beanbean Kingdom.

That would just make it fun.

"Ah. There it is..." he said to himself as he corrected the aircraft's trajectory.

"We'll be there in three minutes."

Jr. glanced at his brother's grimace and guessed what he was thinking. "Hey, don't worry. What, like that shiny-haired girly-prince is gonna do anything, right?"

Professor E. Gadd puttered around his house, heading downstairs into his laboratory. He knew it was late, but his brain was just buzzing with ideas. Yes, tonight would be a night for many inventions! Nothing could possibly go wrong.

Little did the scientist know that he was so wrong.

Morton had landed the Copter very carefully and very softly on the roof. He smirked as he climbed out of the craft.

"Think he's awake?" the Koopaling asked his little brother in a hushed voice.

Jr. thought. Hmm, which would give the old scientist more of a scare?
"Let's pull a Koopa Klaus on him," he decided, starting for the chimney. Luckily, it was cold and dark- Gadd hadn't lit an actual fire down there for some time. Perfect.

E. Gadd sat at his lab table, charting several observations onto a large and intricate graph. He was so absorbed in his work that he had no clue of the danger moving closer...

With a dull THUNK, Morton landed at the bottom of the chimney. He scurried out of the way before Junior came sliding down.

Though it was dark, Morton - as well as all Koopas that live in Dark Land - could still see. The dark halls were nothing when compared to the castle halls in Dark Land late at night.

"Found a staircase." he whispered.

Jr. followed, with a slightly lighter landing- being the runt of the Koopalings had its advantages, primarily in sneaking- and followed.
"Great," he hissed. "Here we go, then..."
He began to sneak down the stairs.

Luck appeared to be on the Koopalings' side; the sound of their landings would've certainly alerted E. Gadd if he had not accidentally bumped against a table while he was moving through his lab.
"Oh, darn it," he muttered, holding his shin. Maybe he should invent some kind of way to make shins less vulnerable to pain...or make tables less painful to bump into.
