Here's my take on what it could be used for.

First, Francis could add a special type of item that would teach a user a technique at the cost of score points. Said technique could be an attack, skill, or spell of some kind. The techniques would be kept seperate from the items and wouldn't be able to be given to other users. Each technique would cost a certain amount of your score to use, and they may even have additional costs or limitations on their use. There could end up being a limit on the number that could be kept or a limit on the total number of times a technique could be used in a day, but it would be completely up to Francis. Here's an example of one such item that would teach two techniques.

Peppy's Training
Type: Skill Training
Description: Never give up. Trust your instincts.
Action: Teaches the user the following skills: Somersault and Barrel Roll. It costs 1,000,000 points to use it.

Somersault
Type: Skill
Description: Try a somersault!
Action: Allows you to avoid a single attack at the cost of 2 MP. After avoiding the attack, it'll be possible to attack the person who tried to attack you for double damage for the next 5 minutes.
Cost to use: 1,000 points

Barrel Roll
Type: Skill
Description: Do a barrel roll!
Action: Allows you to avoid all attacks for half an hour at the cost of 2 MP. Each time someone tries to attack you during that half hour, there will be a 25% chance of the attack being deflected back at them, and another 25% chance of the attack being deflected towards a random user.
Cost to use: 1,000 points

What do you guys think of that idea?

Awesome idea, but I also think they should be spent on stat increases.

I never intended for the score to be "spent"

Maybe a minimum score might just simply be a requirement for learning a technique? That minimum score needed for learning a new technique could increase with each technique the person has.
